I saw both games v Brentford last season and I think the guy would do very well for us. I think his best quality is that he’s alert. May sound an odd thing to say, but what I mean by that is he’s very aware of where the ball is heading and gets himself into the right places to score. It’s instinctive with him.

There are bigger, stronger, faster players, but his reading of the game in the danger areas is excellent. And I think that’s what we need. We create a lot of chances but don’t always get players on the end of them. I think he’d lap those chances up.
 
I don't mean to be rude but other fans on here do my fucking head in. Even the ones that talk sense.
If I wanted a general football discussion I'd go on general football forum.
I literally care about one team and club, that's it.

They've effectively spent about £85m just to tread water. That's quite a spectacular effort after coming up from the Championship.

Mings = Mings
Konsa = Tuanzebe
Hause = Hause
Targett > Taylor
Jota > Adomah
El Ghazi = El Ghazi
Wesley < Abraham

If I was a Villa fan I'd be worried about that defence. Only Mings inspires confidence and he won't boss it in the PL like he did in the Championship.

And although the video didn't really capture all of it, after despatching it coolly, Neal went right up to them and gave them a pose that was pure "Suck on that, you useless twats!" :)

He's just the sort of player you hate when he's on the other team, but love when he's on yours.

Anyhow I'm sure some of you remember that game too, since our 2-0 victory just about saw off Leeds' challenge for 2nd place....

I definitely remember it NewBee! I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I saw that Brentford were one up then two! We were all very greatful to Brentford for sure! Cause I don't mind the Ooh Aah - he's a legend for both clubs of course!

I hope we sign Maupay, obviously, but the Smith link to Maupay worries me slightly.
