Neal Maupay

Fredericks? I can't let you have Fulham being a Premier League club and Swansea being a Premier League club ;)

I didn't mention Fredericks because he was bought from the Championship.

They bought Fabianksi in June after he'd been relegated in May, I doubt he ever went back to Swansea after being relegated.

West Ham will go for Sturridge or Welbeck IMO. Maybe Calum Wilson.
Maybe but apart from Wilson I can't see any of those being their first choice striker.

Wilson would be really expensive to get out of Bournemouth.

I can see them being linked with Icardi and Icardi rejecting them. Then end up signing Edin Dzeko.

I am not saying they will go for Maupay but it wouldn't surprise me if they did and £15m-£20m is nothing to them.

I can't really think of any other realistic options for them to be honest.

Anderson - Winger
Fornals - Midfielder
Yarmolenko - Winger
Hugill - Striker who scored 6 in 37 in the championship last year
Antonio - No idea where he plays, certainly not a lone striker
Hernandez - Striker who they are trying to offload
Lanzini - Midfielder
Diangana - Never heard of him but apparently he is a winger

They clearly feel they need a striker seen as they were trying to sign Maxi Gomez. Hopefully they don't target Maupay but I am struggling to think of who else they could go for.

They have signed Fredericks, Hugill and Fabianski all from Championship clubs in the past two years, I wouldn't be surprised if they went for Maupay

They've sold Arnautovic, who's a winger too. Lanzini is not a midfielder and neither is Fornals.

Think Icardi is slightly out of their league but a foreign import is also likely. I just don’t see Maupay as a Pellegrini/West Ham type player, as previously said on here they tend to go for big names.

Did you hear that from the same source as all of these?

For all those unfamiliar with JL94x4 ’s previous work and that are hanging on his every word, I haven’t been selective here; he has literally never got one right.

100+ pages absolutely worth it for this corker

They appear to have a successful formula of making ends meet by producing a constant run of players, found at a reasonable price, polishing them a bit and maximising their return . Turning over more income than is possible from a small ground and not massive crowds. It’s quite brilliant really.

I heard Wilder discussing Brentford's 'money ball' scheme last season, he reckons that their owner spends millions every season just on the scouting staff and infrastructure. The inference being that they don't actually make that much profit out of it, hence why most clubs (like us) don't do it.

I heard that interview with Wilder too.

I think he said that `Brentford employ about 50 staff sat on their computers analysing stats based on their secret algorithms.
His point was although it appears successful it was also very expensive, therefore it needs to be successful.

Arnautovic played ST pretty much all last year.

Fornals and Lanzini are both midfielders, they play a similar role to Duffy. Fornals can also play on the right.

Not quite what it seems.

As well as owning a very profitable Bookmaker (Matchbook), BFC owner Matthew Benham also owns SmartOdds: "... a leading example of the new breed of sports modelling providers, which works with professional gambling clients to provide odds research services."
https://totallygaming.com/news/features/benhams-smartodds

In other words, since he needed statisticians for Matchbook's business and his own gambling etc, he realised he could build an additional business selling their services on to other firms.

And from this, you get the following:
"Matthew Benham himself [is] likely one of the largest clients with fees charged to him totalling over £800,000.

Both Brentford FC and FC Midtjylland are also clients of SmartOdds along with a handful of other companies controlled by Benham."

So rather than BFC employing these 50 stattos etc, they're actually employees of SmartOdds, who presumably give Benham/BFC "mates rates".

An exceptionally clever and resourceful man, is our Matthew:

Agent will very much want the deal to happen. They are so pivotal these days. In many cases the buying club will simply tell the leeches how much they are prepared to spend on the player over a defined period. Fee, wages, bonuses the lot and then leave the agent to sort out with the selling club how that will be divided up, often to his advantage. Of course selling club may say no deal in which case Mr Leech goes back to buying club and the wheel turns again..

No wonder it takes so long but sadly, the leech is at the very heart of it.

There will inevitably be more than one leech needing to be fed in a deal of this size and that complicates things. As well as making the deal even more costly. I’ve said it before on here, nauseating what goes on.

Do we need to leave a cup of sugary water out so these bees can have a sip and fuck off.

Last summer I did that, bee in need and Attenborough had been on about it or summat, so I made my sugar water and poured a little 10p sized puddle out onto my patio table next to the bee. Bee crawled towards it and had a go at it, I assumed all was well and felt good about myself.

Came back an hour later and the daft fucker had crawled into it and drowned.

Yes, I understand some clubs even ‘sub-contract” to their own hired leeches to effectively project manage a transfer.

World’s gone mad. Next thing you know we’ll have completely bonkers but dangerous buffoons in both the White House and Number Ten. No, I jest. That couldn’t happen... 🤪

Maupay greeting one of his 3 new teammates who have joined while the club were in Austria if only you had actually made a bid for the player instead of posting and listening to ridiculous rumours. You obviously can’t afford him do what we have to do go shopping in a cheaper market there’s some bargains out there.

Maybe you should do what we did and find some cheap options to help you get promoted not finish outside top 6 again

Just a thought
