I came on here seventeen years ago (sorry, a few hours ago) to refute the fact that you had agreed a fee of £12m and he was undergoing a medical. I know for a fact that's not true and no bids have been made for him. I think we're going to be very lucky to hold onto him though and think, sadly, someone will pay very close to the price we're asking. My opinion (not fact) is that if you sign him, you'll have done very well because there is going to be a lot of interest. His agent may have spoken to your club and others but that doesn't mean anything until they have actually discussed the transfer with Brentford.

Nobody on here will take the word of the Brentford fans that they have some sort of inside information unless they give some evidence (which they can't no matter what) so it's all a pointless exercise.

I don't believe we will sign Maupay for a number of reasons. The only reason I think there is any chance is simply due to Cadette's track record. If he (and maybe Gage) hadn't posted it then I don't think anyone on here would believe we were signing him.

The debate can't be settled as Cadette will never reveal his sources and Les won't reveal his. It seems one of them has been given duff info though.

Yeah but what you need to take into account is that Brentford play really, really nice football so they’re allowed to be arrogant. It doesn’t win them many matches but apparently that doesn’t matter.

Some have alluded (jokingly) that Cadette is in fact Wilder. Obviously I don't believe that but I think if Chris did post on here , even he would get things wrong as football moves in such a strange way. There will be dozens of people involved in this deal (if it's happening) and even people on the very inside won't know exactly what's going on.
