Freeman's probably the best realistic player we could get for the number 10 role. Others are too expensive and still not proven in the PL. Dack for example. Just because Aston Villa aren't competing with us for once doesn't mean he isn't good enough! I don't remember there been a queue for David McGoldrick from any Championship clubs at the end of last pre-season and that turned out well didn't it!?

Wilders best recruiting attribute is he’s not afraid how signings look....

Jake Wright, mcgoldrick, Duffy etc. Plenty of free transfers overlooked by other clubs.

When you’ve got 100m a year to spend why would you risk looking like an idiot taking a chance on a player out of Stevenage in league 1? Think that stigma is probably part of th reason he only got a championship move earlier in his career. He’s at his prime now and would be able to do a job in that role for 3/4 years at least

2 points ill make here.

1. if we stay up the Mersons et al will laud Freeman as the signing of the season, like they did with Gross at Brighton when they signed him for £5m

2. At under £4m he will be one of the rare cases of a PL signing costing less than their Fantasy football value :D
 
I think QPR read the papers and tune into sports news, just a wild guess but I think they know we have come into a wedge of money ;)
