I don’t envy you there!I admire your strength buddy. I keep getting dragged back into petty debates. I blame too much time on the train...
I was reassured when he said he was hoping to get 3/4 through the door before they fly to Portugal. still think we would need another 4/5 after that
Any ideas who?
Cant see us looking to bring more than 5 in, probably 4 plus Hendo would be my guess.
Why not? we have too?
The budget isn’t a bottomless pit. Four players plus one loan would be pushing £30m
Then CW is going to have to be uber frugal as per. Have you seen the squad?? this isnt about improving on what we already have its about replacing what we let go. We have 16 players who arent on the transfer list, this includes Lundstram, Eastwood and Bryan. We need the following as a bare minimum
GK
LWB
RCB
LCB
CM
AM
FWD
FWD
This is just to fill what holes we have
Again letting Cranie go stands out as a huge error.
Is there anything I can be outraged about?
Anyone took Cranie on ??Again letting Cranie go stands out as a huge error.
Contract negotiations could be interesting given the amount Derby have supposedly offered Lampard to stay (£2.4m pa over 4 years) . How much less would you take than the over rated arse who sneaked into the play offs despite spending £11m on Waghorn and Marriott alone?
HOW DARE YOU! Chris wouldn’t ever take a back hand.....So he didn’t say no to Ribery.
Again letting Cranie go stands out as a huge error.
I liked Cranie but we can do better. my honest take is that CW wants an upgrade on Basham. Upgrading on Basham has two possible outcomes, it means Basham can be either ample back up to a number of positions or he ups his game again and keeps his place.
Agreed. Not only those but we may need to improve on one or two of the first teamers from last season but only time will tell who Wilder sees as needs improving upon. Then CW is going to have to be uber frugal as per. I still think peronally that Baldock, Basham, Duffy & Sharp’s positions are those that we need to upgrade upon the most.

It’s obviously Wilders toughest transfer window to date irrespective of the money made available to him, interesting and exciting times ahead.
Think the fact Freeman wasnt transfer listed would suggest CW is happy with the two RWBs.
Cranie was ample back up and was let go so think CW is looking to upgrade RCB and any upgrade should dislodge Basham
I think any incoming AM would replace Duffy in the XI, Duffy still has a role to play but I doubt his ability to start in the PL and complete games.
Sharps way of playing should see him as effective in the PL as he was in the Championship the only question is service
That’s a joke right?!!Again letting Cranie go stands out as a huge error.
I don’t necessarily disagree with that, my main point is that we will need more than the 4/5 being touted and until we kick off and know what Wilder has planned then he could surprise us by bringing someone in to replace either one of the main stays or someone who is possibly departing, that’s on top of the ones we already know that we need, meaning not far off 10 players needed. Not necessarily, we need 8, those 8 shouldnt just be back up. No ones position is safe and I doubt CW will be recruiting players to sit on the bench every position is up for grabs so if the quality of the 8 needed is high enough it could see all 8 start. Id say the only position he isnt looking is CB as Stearman and and RWB.
In addition to the 8 IMO we should look to replace Eastwood for the season with an experienced back up keeper and relegate Moore to 3rd choice.

Everyone keeps forgetting that we could sell someone, that means more players needed, the transfer knock on effect hasn’t even began to have any effect whatsoever, when that starts the fun will well and truly begin.
We brought 9 players in at the start of last season. Now don’t get me wrong, two of those were Kean Bryan and Ben Woodburn but we brought them in nonetheless, some will payoff and some won’t.Just can’t see us signing 10 players. Wolves managed 10 over two transfer windows, that’s with their transfer clout. Fulham managed 9 over two windows and ruined the balance and unity of their squad.
I think 10 players in a single transfer window is impossible logistically, let alone financially (when we’re one of the weakest clubs in the PL).
