Nice to hear from Wilder again speaking sense, sounding well up for it and busy!

I absolutely love the celebrating, bladdered Wilder at the end of the season, but when you hear Wilder with his business head on it makes the hairs stand on the back of the neck

Come on - whats he saying?!
Nothing earth shattering, pretty much confirmed that we're going to be chasing the same kind of players, nothing sorted, hopes to have a couple in this week and 3 or 4 by the time they jet off to Portugal. Hopes Deano is one of his loans. Players back in this week for their annual 'tests'.

He's also exercised the clause in his own contract for re-negotiation.

Implied that us and Hendo want his loan to go through, and that it is Man Utd holding things up and seemingly don't want to let him out just yet.

Starts on the sponsorship deal: shows progression, breaks the club record by "a million miles". Said it helps the club but didn't directly link it to the budget.

Incomings: plates are spinning. CW thinks we're an attractive club and we have a strategy in place looking at specific positions. Mentions the age of players - looking for those wanting to improve and play in the United way, the right way. Hopeful of 1/2 this week and ideally 3/4 before we go to Portugal but mindful of budget - says 75% of the Championship are in real trouble through overspending and doesn't want us to go the same way. Talks about us being in a different spending league to Aston Villa through history and Bournemouth, Brighton and Burnley through getting £100m a year.

Dean Henderson: hopeful of a deal. Says DH making noises helps; "the boy [DH] makes a lot of noises"; two of three parties keen on deal (us and DH, presuming MU can be persuaded). Outstanding prospect and character, he'd be a great start to the recruitment. Would only be a loan.

Refused to be drawn on direct questions on Luke Freeman. Said other links were "bonkers" and agent talk - that in response to a question about more experienced players. Probably referring to the recent Adebayor speculation among others.

West Brom: no denial about that - says speculation is inevitable given his success.

CW's contract has a renegotiation clause so it's in progress between United and his agents.

CW sees the training ground as part of his legacy. Sees improvement there as vital and questions the lack of spend last time we were in the PL. PL status needs better facilities, the club needs to keep improving.

Target is to stay in the PL. Under no illusions as to the task ahead. Giddings suggested the start was easy - CW's response is that they're all good sides. CW's expectation is that the support will play a big role, particularly at home.

Sounds hopeful of landing a couple this week. Henderson on loan and Freeman being the most likely based on what is being reported.

All of a sudden the start of the season doesn't seem that far away.

Bring it on!

Wait a minute there CW...

When you listen to him talk like that it really does highlight the moronic stupidity of the bed wetters who were worried about him leaving!

I’ve switched off to four things this summer:
- Prince v McCabe court case
- Wilder leaving speculation
- transfer speculation and rumours
- shirt sponsor/ new shirt

I can’t influence any of them and I’m having a great summer.

I was reassured when he said he was hoping to get 3/4 through the door before they fly to Portugal. still think we would need another 4/5 after that

That’s a very good summary my friend

I admire your strength buddy. I keep getting dragged back into petty debates. I blame too much time on the train...
