If we were to sign either Carroll or Sturridge we know they are both made of china so a minimum wage plus good bonuses is the only way to go.
United as a club have done the hard miles, why would we abandon everything we've learnt and the club been based on for the last 3 years just because we are looking at bigger numbers? (And as I think we've all realised, it looks like you have to spend every penny of those bigger numbers too.)
Our wage bill this season is very unlikely to exceed what we could cover with parachute payments should be be relegated.
because I plus others have been banging on about 'division related wages' being in contracts, I'm sure this is the case with the players already, based on the wages jumping when we moved from tier 3 to tier 2 without the squad all renegotiating. And it must work both ways ie going down as well as up.And presumably salaries can be arranged to take relegation into account?
