Hello

Chuffed to say that Dem Blades Quarterly Issue No.2, our 'promotion special' fanzine, is being printed as we speak and will be out for delivery next week (27 May). You can place an order by following this link.

Inside, there are contributions aplenty from folk frequenting this forum, there are more arty bits, there's loads of promotion discussion, a chat with Prescot Cables, and there's (genuinely) the hardest Blades quiz ever written...and loads more.

It's been a great 'journey' for us as fanzine so far, mostly thanks to people on this forum who crowdfunded us into existence in the first place and continue to write for or read Dem Blades - so, "thanks!". Keen to know what subjects people would be interested in reading about as we being work on our Premier League-themed Issue 3 (out August)?

P.S Obviously, if you are already subscribed for 2019, then this will be heading through your door next week
P.P.S We operate an open door policy for contributions...

Hahah, I have heard that same criticism elsewhere. will stick to the same line I used then...it's always been Peroni, mentions of other beers are a passing fancy.

Thanks for the support pal!

Steve Mackan any chance of a further print run? I had a few cashflow issues so needed to wait for May's pay to sign up but it's sold out online...

Annoyingly mine didn't land today and I'm off on hols tomorrow..... will have to wait 'til I'm back!

Mines not turned up yet.... #stronglywordedletter

Yeah mine arrived today...looks the part and a cracking read...Will take a few days to get through but loved what I've seen so far.

Ahhh sorry mate. They went out Wednesday but seems like it’s a postcodes lottery in terms of them being delivered. If the general service offered by the post office is anything like the bloke who served us (Me with packages fanzines under arm; bloke behind the glass: “What do you expect me to do with them!?”; Me: “post them?”), then god knows when you’ll get it.

I forgot. as above. Pretty please.

It’s unlikely I’m afraid. We do have a few copies that have been battered and bruised by couriers - outside chance that we might put some Dem Blades Mis-shapes on the website. Will let you know.

Just had a flick through and think it looks the best yet. Can't wait to get stuck in
Cheers Roy. I would agree it’s the best yet. I think the commemorative plate advert might be my favourite thing we’ve published thus far.

Mine arrived yesterday. Again, the presentation is a delight for me. Not overly keen on the CBF part but that's just me. All the 'old ground/new ground' stuff. I mean, Spurs' new stadium is a new stadium. But if they think different, and I've read their precedents fro cases like this, then GLTTL.

Thanks for the feedback Ainsley Harriott
I fully understand that the CBF style of writing may not appeal to everyone
But, it is a parody
There aren't really a group of people taking decisions about whether Spurs ground is new
But, it says a lot about the crafted excellence of the writing that it's come across as real to you (.... winks...)

Well that's me shown up! I get that there is quite clearly a large dollop of exaggeration with some of it, but there's also clearly a hard core group of you that travel all over the place to watch' anything with a Sheffield United badge on'.

So all the 'precedents' you mention.... Piss take?

Ainsley Harriott Superman couldn't fly, it was made up for the film. ET never phoned home, it was just a story....
Maybe the "precedents" are real. Maybe Young Bob GIT is real. Maybe The Swinton Blade POO is real. Maybe they're a pisstake. You obviously enjoyed the piece more than you thought (...winks...)

I love that article. It’s not telling people how to tick off grounds, it’s reminding you that dogmatic, rule-making, ground tickers exist.

But all feedback is useful feedback and we want it.

Mine arrived Friday but the missus decided to hide it in with the bills, pizza leaflets and charity collection bags that also came in yesterday’s post.
Only opened it late last night and it looks damn sexy. Not had chance to read yet...but the Wilder 1st class stamp stickers have already brought me joy!
