It is bollocks trust me
The rules on away allocations havent changed since we were last in the Prem, 2900 was good enough then it still is today. I dont know why people take notice of such nonsense

Are you too stupid to read?
I clearly stated everything I posted was told to me first hand by an SUFC employee in the ticket office.
If it isn't correct cest la vie.

I'll make a point of denigrating everything you post for no reason
Idiot.

Based on the last time we were up there and the number of season tickets sold, I think it’s fair to expect that the home seats will sell out every game, so it’s not going to be just a number of anticipated full houses, it’ll be every singe game.
You’re right. The capacity isn’t big enough.

I know not all fans will agree, but that’s because they take a partly historical view of what’s possible. They probably see 30-32k as being enough, based on past Prem attendances. But the world has moved on since the last time we were there.

We should be aiming for 40k, for now, with a view to making it even bigger if we can manage to stay in the Prem over the next 5-10 years.

I think we could get 40-50k in there most weeks if we become an established Prem team That’s the level of ambition I’d like to see.

But a good starting point would be to find a way of selling all the seats we already have. It’s crazy to have paying customers unable to come in when they are spare seats, hundreds of them, inside.

One day we’ll be like the airline companies and overselling them maybe?

More to the point, why should anybody post it in the first place or If what he says is true, who the fook

I couldn’t agree more. Apart from the pull of the Premier League, the size (and of course quality) of a stadium can massively effect the level of support and we shouldn’t set what was seen as good home gates in the past as a modern benchmark. Sunderland and Southampton are a good examples.Their averages rocketed when they moved into the Stadium of Light and St Mary’s respectively and more importantly it wasn’t a flash in the pan, they held onto a lot of the new support even in hard times.

As long as we don’t relocate like they did.

Increased current capacity is the only way forward.

I’ve said before that, for United, this is the way forward. Great central location. Modern stadium with development potential.

For that other team in Sheffield, if I was in charge there I’d seriously look to move. In fact I’d make it a priority. The cost of bringing Hillsborough up to date would be prohibitive. And even then, (despite what the Wednesday infested Sheffield City Council told us about the World Cup bid), Hillsborough DOES NOT have good transport links, hotels, shops, parking. It’s a cul de sac. A dead end. There’s no development potential there.

If I was advising Wednesday I’d strongly recommend to shift down to the M1 and build a 50k stadium and aim to pull in neutrals from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, West Yorkshire, etc. That’s the best strategy for them.

But - they need to get to the Prem first!:D

Stuff them !

Could be that the away followings next year are the same as this year 2200, if clubs were restricted to that last year, what has changed for next season

The little Hitler safety officer. The sort of bloke who has threatened to ban people from the lane until they go and “have a chat” about setting smoke bombs off at the parade. All the over the top segregation, heavy handed stewarding, ridiculous sanctions and bans are all down to him. Only thing commendable about him is that he hasn’t instructed stewards to enforce the sitting down bollocks rules yet.

Know what you mean, but who in their right mind in his job wouldn't be over-cautious? I wouldn't want a 30-year witch-hunt after me while the true guilty parties slope off to their Masonic Lodges.

But why on earth would we just leave 700 odd seats empty for ridiculous segregation, when the rest of the Premier League relies on 2 rows of stewards. The SAG/SYP have got to realise that this is 2019,and leaving seats empty for segregation is a non starter

Here's an idea SYP, we could all get along and not let football matches ruin our lives.

I made a similar comment to John Snow, then realised it could come across as though I’m calling John a liar, which is not the case.
My view is that Chinese whispers can happen in the ticket office, so they are not deliberately telling lies but misunderstand the context of what they’ve been told.
Hence you can go in on different days, speak to different people behind the counter and you’re told slightly different things.

especially in this context
