Doubt they'd go with Romero and a PL rookie to be honest, even though I think Henderson could handle it.

Henderson is currently a top end Championship/ low end PL goalie.

So there’s no way a club like Man Utd will have him in their goal next season.
They’ll be aiming for much better quality than Dean Henderson.

The factor with Hendo is that he’d still very young and keepers traditionally improve with age.
So in 3 or 4 years Henderson might be a top half PL quality keeper, so Man Utd could stay patient and treat him like an investment.

They were strongly linked with activating Oblaks 100m Euro buy out clause last week.

No way Henderson will be one of their main keepers next season. No chance,

I think hendo's passion is just what they need even if he's number two and gets a few games,
Whatever happens tufty will have a list of alternatives

I agree. Man. Utd is no place to test out a rookie goalie. Man. City (finally) realised that Joe Hart wasn't world-class and have bought a superb goalie, ditto Liverpool. While we love Hendo, he's not the only bright, young goalie out there - Jed Steer and Neil Etheridge come to mind.

De Gea used to have passion, but that got lost when wage-thieves like Pogba and Sanchez showed they didn't give a fuck. Plus, there's every chance that Solskjær won't be there next season. He had that 'new manager bounce' (think Bruce) but the owners simply can't let Liverpool or the 'noisy neighbours' leave them even further behind.

On Sky Sports news yesterday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was quoted saying "Henderson needs 1 more season with a Premier league side before returning. He wants to play for Sheffield United, so if Sheffield United want him, he's free to join/return." Or words . to that effect. Good news or what>

Aye & Manure are low end PL team !

It’s also possibly bad news because it looks like Man Utd don’t intend to sell him.
We are building him up, developing him to be.a top keeper just for Man Utd to benefit.

I supposed it depends what Wilder wants to do.
It looks like Henderson is just a short term option but i’m sure Wilder would prefer a long term solution.
He might choose to make a big bid for Henderson and if Man U refuse then look elsewhere.

Not sure why so many are getting so worried about this, seen it a lot of threads. If they sell De Gea they buy another world class keeper it’s as simple as that.

I don’t think for a second Man Utd will sell Hendo and even if they did there would be questions on how much realistically we would want to pay. I can’t see him wanting to sign for us long term, we haven’t kicked a premier league ball yet. He’s been very honest about wanting to play for Man Utd.

On the flip side he’s been great for us, but a season long loan doesn’t really solve the long term issue of a goalkeeper either.

Suppose this means Simon Moore is guaranteed two league starts next season ?

Listen, I love Henderson but lets stop panicking. If it happens it happens, great.

If it doesn't I fully trust Wilder to get a quality keeper as a replacement. Danny Ward, Neil Etheridge and Darren Randolph would be top of my list.
