So we failed to plan properly but then forward planned by bringing in an injury-prone bloke who hasn't played for a year?
As I said, admirable, if misplaced, loyalty.

His last first team game for Charlton was around February time I think, so not quite a year :)

I'm not saying he was the perfect choice, but you said we'd failed to plan... not that you think we didn't plan properly because you don't rate the player/his fitness.

I only have a loyalty to Sheffield United, not necessarily a loyalty to any person/view at Sheffield United.

I'd have personally kept Bromby, but he wanted (and needed) first team football.

I'd have also kept Maxime Chanot... but since then we've got rid and Barnsley decided he wasn't good enough... so shows what I know :)

I think Fortune has the right attributes, but as you say, if he's injured/unfit then he'll not be an adequate replacement long term.

Who would you have brought in instead of Fortune/Davies?

Let's be clear that that is cobblers, perhaps you should read my posts.
I've challenged Beighton over his continual drip-feeding of stuff about McCabe and others who state as fact various points about money being taken out of the club, the hotel, property business etc, etc.
Always think before posting.

ROFL - you can't be serious. You froth at the mouth that the prospect of Beighton revealing some fact behind his posturing. Your frustration with Beighton is not that his attacks are unfounded, it's because you're desperate for the facts to sling more muck at United.

I think before posting and come down on one side or the other, depending on the facts in hand. But like a spunk stain on the shower curtain, there's no doubt in which direction you'll fall.

Sadly not in this case.
Re-read my posts and think before posting. Deciding that someone thinks opposite to what they're posting is not evidence of a great deal of thought.

Thanks Foxy, I'll take that as an acceptance that we didn't plan properly.
The conversation we might be having should Killa walk out for a pittance in January might also be interesting on the planning front.

Lenners ,is that Bromby ,the 'elegant stick insect' you are referring to ?

Of course. I had no problem with selling him but the void that created made no sense then and it makes no sense now.
If and when Killa goes, you have to wonder what they've got lined up to replace him.
I trust that they've actually given it a bit of thought this time. Then again.

At the moment I'd let Bruce put his boots back on.
I think centre halves make the best managers anyway ,surely there is an old one with delusions of management coming to the end of his career.

Despite what you may think these people have been in the professional game a long time. I take it you know as much as them?

Do you really think they may not have even thought about it?

Judging on our transfer policies since the summer, they clearly haven't got the faintest idea what they're doing.

Are you saying the Management haven't given any thought to a replacement for Killa if he goes?

They didn't appear to have a clue who would be a replacement CB when they sold Bromby!

If you really believe they don't think about these things I think you are wrong.

I'm sure they don't bother and want to lose their job.

Thinking about it and finding a solution is different.

If only all these good players were sat on a shelf just waiting to come to the Lane!

How easy it would be!

:)

I don't think anyone's saying they don't think about these things, it's how they act on them (or don't) that's the problem.:(
