Do The Pigs Have Us By The Balls?

Nope, but United have them by their curly tails. Bristol, Preston, Forest and Brum all to play.

Here we are second in the league
After winning away at Leeds yesterday
We’ve taken 4 points off Norwich
Since the Villa meltdown ( on here ) as well as on the pitch
We’ve gone to 2 promotion rivals and won without conceding
We’ve beaten another promotion contender at home again without conceding
We’ve had 2 local derby’s and got 4 points from them
We haven’t conceded in 7 league games
I know what we need to talk about a team that’s not even going to get to the playoffs
And they have us by the balls
Would ya ever fuckoff ( with all due respect)

Almost all the teams they have still to play are in with a chance of promotion

Villa
Notts Forest
Leeds
Norwich
Bristol C
PNE
QPR

After there Norwich game we shall have a clearer view of where our automatic promotion prospects are

TBF if the pigs beat that lot at this stage of season then they very much deserve to reach the playoffs.

Our record against those 7 sides, btw, is P11 W6 D2 L3 PPG1.8 which is why we very much deserve to be promoted automatically :)

Before yesterday's result, I'd have said no. Over 24 hours on, I'd say no

This fixture list is exactly what will shatter there tiny delusional dream, they've played fuck all so far (apart from us obvs) when they reap next to fuck all from this lot the reality of their mediocrity will hit.

How on earth do they have us by the balls?? They are in the worst position ever imaginable. If they get results at Leeds & Norwich then from our point of view it helps us over the line while they have to rely on other results to get into 6th spot. Their worst case scenario is getting results at Leeds & Norwich,us going up automatic & them finishing 7th!! Now that would be a good end to the season!!

I don't think you've heard the word "No" enough yet.

So, no.

Pigs to miss out of playoffs on GD, us to go up by the odd point as a result of them taking points off Leeds / Norwich, andCW to thank his players, Mitchell, McCabe and a big thank you to the blue half for their assistance
Imagine the grunters hearing the cheers and laughter from the town hall balcony

A resurgent Wendy is a blessing to our situation, to ask if they’ve got us by the balls is very strange...

However we have to just keep going and stay focussed on us..

In order to maintain their unlikely push for the play offs they have to do us a huge favour in our race for automatic promotion.

I'd say it's the other way round.

Exactly, they could do with us beating the likes of Bristol and Preston.

Fuck the pigs.
We are well capable of doing it ourselves, that is why we are where we are in the table.
Keep the faith, and all will be good !!
UTB...

Apart from the matches against Leeds and Norwich, none of the teams they play will finish anywhere near us.

So they don't have anything on us.

We truly have our destiny in our own hands. All they can add to that is make it easier for us in order to keep their own hope alive.

Let's not give up on Agent Leon either!

Appreciate it must be tough to listen to their rubbish every day, but look at their run-in and look at how many teams in between them and the playoffs. They are not going to make the playoffs and they don’t have us by the balls.

They are cannon fodder for the two teams we’re competing against and can hopefully manage a draw.

It would take Godzilla and the BFG to try and handle the balls of this team anyway.

it's just that my pig of a brother in law says they can win against both Leeds & Norwich if they wanted too but if they don't its because they want to thrash us in the play offs
If they lose to Leeds and Norwich they won't get to the play offs, they need the points. Apart from the nonsense of their entire team and manager throwing two games deliberately just to frustrate our promotion chances, which might not even work, the only reason they will lose to those two teams is because they are crap.
I suspect your brother in law knows that and is just laying the groundwork for his daft excuses for when they get thrashed. Tell him that when he starts grunting.

Bruce said on Saturday they need to win 6 out of their last 8 games, so if they lost to Norwich and Leeds they need to win the rest.

So they will have to win the following games

Stoke A
Villa - H
Forest -H
Bristol city - H
Preston - A

Oh and qpr at home but they would be favourites for that.

I can’t see them winning all of them so let them beat Leeds

All we need them to do is beat Leeds. That is more important than them beating Norwich

If we lost to Leeds then they would have at least one of our balls in their trotters. Alas, we won and our fate is in our own hands. One game at a time, if everyone does their job then we can have no complaints, we know what we need to do.

And that is with the assumption that the best any of the four teams above them can do is W4 D3 L1, bearing in mind all of them are good teams going for the same push and have performed better than them so far this season. Plus two of the teams have games in hand which they need to lose.
The idea that they can do it is far fetched enough. The idea that they can do it whilst losing to Leeds and Norwich is ridiculous.

Let them get excited. The closer they get before being disappointed, the better.
