Pinchy
Blade, not Bladey.

You did indeed! However, what your light-hearted forecasts do Illustrate is what football teaches us time after time, that it is sometimes joyfully and sometimes crushingly unpredictable. The three (or four or five, depending on your point of view) contenders will all suffer unexpected adverse results before the end of the season. It’s one of the reasons we all love and hate football so much.
The sad note is, I’m sorry to say, that we in S2 have an abnormal number of jellybaby fans who simply can’t contemplate, still less cope with, the inevitable vicissitudes of the beautiful game. Knees will jerk. Spines will disintegrate. It’s the Bladesfans’ Way.
I’ll accept a near like...
I think that’s as close as you’re ever going to get! Maybe we should have an acknowledgment button
I can but only dream of it being oh so so easy for us but alas...
I really don't want us to end up in the playoffs![]()
Be of good comfort, Master Makblade. This team has never failed in the play-offs...
Yes, we’ll have to keep agreeing to disagree in an amicable fashion.
You’re right, other clubs have them, but I’m right, we have more than most. The Saturday Shoutbox when we dare to concede a goal, or Pele forbid, lose a game, is a maelstrom of wildly jerking knees and rapidly crumbling backbones.
If we start against Rotherham with Coutts instead of Norwood then we’ll probably lose. Then the Leeds game might not be a chance to overtake them, as we could be five points behind them. And we could lose against Leeds anyway, even with Norwood.
It’s easy to overthink these things. My view is play Norwood and if he gets booked, deal with it, don’t assume we can beat Rotherham and Brentford without him when we couldn’t even beat the pigs with him.
Could you provide your evidence for that please. I'd be interested to see it.
The evidence of my experienced eyes, ears and mind. It’s all I need. It’s all anyone could ever dream of.
Indeed and if there was ever a manager of sheffield United we need for the play offs it’s the man we have now. Norwood can help with his recent experiences.
Not as many misplaced passes as Coutts though, in the games I’ve seen him in recently. How do you calculate that probability? Professional probability analysers, the bookies, wouldn’t agree with you. I doubt that Blades Analytics would.
Even if Couttsy is not back to his majestic best, he’s still a very fine player. We also have ten others who will be pretty good. The probable result (maybe not the actual result; it’s a funny old game) would remain overwhelmingly a Blades win.
A rare misplaced pass from a usually impeccable contributor.
I've just realised this is a 12.15pm kick off is it on Sky tv ? If so where can I watch in Krakow ?
Are you Pinchy in disguise?Anyone else think we might see Coutts against Rotherham in place of Norwood?
That’s a low blow. Are you Pinchy in disguise?
I’m expecting us to return to yesterday’s line-up for the Leeds game – would think we’ll go with McGoldrick & Duffy in the next 2 games.

I've been thinking for a couple of weeks now that we're going to lose at home to Rotherham
Don't know why, it seems illogical given Rotherham's away form, but it has been niggling at me for the last fortnight
why all the negativity over the Rotherham game, we so nearly beat them at theirs when we put up such a poor blades display ??

Give Hogan a go.
Leaving Norwood out is of course a possibility for Rotherham.
but, leaving him out is just bonkers - we have to trust him as we did against Wednesday.
Lets put Rotherham under pressure - get a couple of goals in front (hopefully) then get him off.
he just has to be disciplined. He fouled someone early in the game v Piggies and was then very disciplined after that.
