All I can think is - At least they will leave their own half this time.

The referee is Peter bankes. He’s already dished out 100 yellow cards this season. He’s been in charge of the hull and Rotherham games for us!!.Do we know who the ref is by any chance?
From pork talk
We are the best in Sheffield! We are the best in Sheffield! We have beaten United 3-1 in football!! It is completely believable! We have beaten the piggies! Sheffield, birthplace of a giant.
Sean Bean, Neil Warnock, Dave Bassett, Jessica Ennis, Chris Kamara (?), Alan Cork (??), Billy Blunt, Charlie Webster – we have beaten them all. We have beaten them all!
Chris Wilder can you hear me? Chris Wilder, I have a message for you in the middle of your promotion campaign. I have a message for you: We have sh*t on your campaign.
Chris Wilder, as they say in your language in the chicken shops on the Wicker: Your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!
I'm quite confident....
Do we know who the ref is by any chance?
No idea mate, hope it's a good strong ref and not some homer or some all about me me me wanker
FED UP with people thinking we can SMASH ANYONE. It's not confidence, it's fucking arrogance. Can't we just treat opponents with respect and then take the piss after the match? We're turning into Wednesday fans from before the bouncing day massacre and it's really worrying me.
I think the way Stearman flew in to score against Middlesborough shows he doesn't have much fear, I'd prefer JOC and Egan but one of those and Stears will be fine.
It won't be anywhere near as easy as some seem to think. Bruce has already got them better organised and playing with confidence. I worry if Egan hasn't recovered as I think Stearman will get bullied by Fletcher.
Any sort of victory would be fantastic.
they honestly believe we havent improved at all , everyone else is just shit and they are only not top as theyve been mis managed , now Bruce is there , the titles wide open. They will win every game and the top 4 will all collapse, Reality not their strong pointThis is the thing. They aren't taking into account how much we've improved. They are definitely going to be better but so are we.
Wow!
I've got to say if this thread was on Owlstalk it would be held up by you lot as a classic example of why Wednesday fans are so arrogant.
Seems both sets of supporters are not as different as you like to make out.......
We are 21/20 and they are 12/5 so they are probably rightIt’s just social media bravado.
Almost every Wednesday fans I’ve spoke to isn’t confident of winning.
However they are in much higher spirits, a few weeks ago they were worried they could be thrashed by us
But now they are confident they’ll compete and give us a good game.
They feel reasonably confident that they have a realistic chance of a draw but many still think we are the favourites.
I've not heard anybody say it will be easy. It sounds like they are playing better. It won't be anywhere near as easy as some seem to think. Bruce has already got them better organised and playing with confidence. I worry if Egan hasn't recovered as I think Stearman will get bullied by Fletcher.
Any sort of victory would be fantastic.
Can we just make sure we avoid speaking like Mr. Yeardley here...
Bruce will be shitting himself. He doesn't have the quality of player he had at Villa and we absolutely gave them a footballing lesson and 4-1 could have been 6/7.
I can see them trying to keep it tight for as long as possible. It's ok saying they'll hit us on the break etc with pace, but Brucey boy had Anomah, Kodjia, Abraham, Grealish, El Ghazi to play - all with pace and skill and they couldn't do a thing.
Agreed and it does rather brush over the two more recent 0-0 draws at the lane.
That said their recent run of form means a game of football will take place on Monday rather than some sort of attack v defence training session.
Slightly interesting fact...
The last Sheffield Wednesday player to score a goal at Bramall Lane was Gary Madine.
