The bigger shock is that some are shocked at the level of delusion and denial on there.

I bet they've got more than their fair share of Holocaust deniers amongst their ranks too.

Wednesday are the bigger club, won more, bigger stadium, slightly more fans.

United are by far the better club. Even with the off field turmoil we’re better run, we were in League One, we have better facilities, we have a better academy, we are in touch with our fan base and charge realistic prices as to not alienate our whole fan base. And that’s before we even talk about the on pitch stuff...

Fuck ‘bigger’. We have been the better Club for 20 years. I know which I’d rather be.

Fuck em.

The stages of thinking, such as they are, go something like this:-

We won’t get promoted from L1

The Championship is a much tougher league than when we got relegated, we will struggle

We won’t last the pace (2017/18)

We won’t last the pace (2018/19)

If we go up, we will get hammered every week, Wilder will leave, the squad will break up

The essence of the argument is that even though it’s going OK at the moment, it will shortly go wrong. Coincidentally, this is exactly the opposite of what will happen to them. It has been going wrong, but now Tubby Bruce is there, it’s just a matter of time before it all turns around and up they go.

Perfectly worded.

Massivus Deludiums nicely summarised :)

We are 1 dimensional and they are a work in progress!!!
The only way that we are 1 dimensional is that we only know how to attack other than that we can play; short, long, wide , patient or quick.
What progress is being made over there? They’re only going one way and that’s backwards

That comment stuck out to me also. Utd are so multi dimensional it's incredible, that guy is in full denial mode and will likely get a big shock on 4th March!?

funny how we get bigger crowds than them.then
This season yeah. But generally speaking they pull more fans than us, let’s not kid ourselves. We’ll end up as deluded as them.

A year or two prem stint could change everything though.

Their “History” claim to be a big club doesn’t really stand up to scrutiny either. Outside of the obvious big six, Everton, Villa, Sunderland, Wolves and Newcastle have won more league titles and FA Cups than them and they believe they are bigger than all of them, as they do Blackburn who also have more trophies. Counting their FL Cup win doesn’t take them above any of them trophy wise.

Now about those mythical 50,000 averages they talk about. .....

Started reading it had to stop when i saw the advert. How apt.

I see you have bought into the piggy MASSIVE myth then. The only thing they have bigger than us is the stadium (that is when it doesn't have sections closed for safety reasons) this allows them to turn out about 6000 extra fans for a big game. The last time they averaged over 30,000 was the year Engand won the world cup, massive my arse.

Is it a measure of how far we have come that a piggy can start a thread called "The Shadow of the Blades"?
Or is it meant the opposite way? (Something like we might suggest - "The Owls are now a Shadow of the Club They Once Thought They Were")

They’re not massive. They’re not bigger than most of the clubs they perpetuate to be bigger than.

Are they bigger than us? Honestly yes. Does it matter? Does it fuck.

The one dimensional comment is hilarious, and what does it even mean ?

Last year it was momentum

Now that our momentum has obviously subsided there has to be another derogatory reason why we are much better than them, and one dimensional is what the fucktard came up with

Its the total lack of complete understanding ithat money is just a tool . Used wisely it aids you. Used badly your making things worse. They can't see we are in 2nd without large scale spending. We are geared up to compete with value for money players. Team ethic and togetherness are our strengths and owls just dont get it

Que ??
They pull more fans than us ?

When did this last happen when both clubs were in the same division ?

There's no chance of United fans becoming as deluded as them

But one thing worse than a deluded pig is a United fan that cap doffs to their delusions

The ground also allows for extra away fans too from the bigger teams which bumps the attendance. If you compare just home fans then that gives you an even truer pictures
But they don’t like facts as it blows holes in the myths.

SCUMMY PIGS
FA Cup 3
League (1st before Prem) 4
League Cup 1

Mighty Blades
FA Cup 4
League 1
League Cup 0

Fans:- No reliable statistics. (You wanna poll the world?). Average attendances for SUFC presently more than Scummy Pigs but that proves nothing as the scummy pigs simply don't see which is why we have the usual myth of us giving tickets away. Ground capacity theoretically higher but it isn't due to problems with safety at the Scumpit. Not even bigger. I am beginning to wonder about you.

Just because at one time they were the bigger club doesn’t mean it is now.

Clubs grow and evolve, clubs become smaller. One time real giants of the game are no longer even in the Premier League, never mind compete with the big six.

Early last century it was us the bigger club in Sheffield, then them. It fluctuates.

In what possible way can you say the pigs are a bigger club in today’s world?

We have the better ground, facilities, support, infrastructure, team and potential. That’s what defines a big club, not a couple more trophies in the ancient past.

We have been the bigger club for quite a few years, arguably even in league one.

It may and probably will change at some point in the future, but I don’t think anytime soon.
