Think it's a bit other way round actually, think winning at home will be harder than winning away.

Anyone who watched us at Villa won't fancy a trip to the Lane and we will see lots of parked buses at the Lane going forwards.

Parking the bus at home will be unacceptable to most home fans so will therefore give us a better chance when we're away.

Possibly, but our home fixtures seem to be an interesting combination of teams fancying the playoffs [Boro, Brizzle and Forest] and other teams scrapping for their lives [Reading, Rotherham and Millwall]. Can't see many of those having the luxury to park the bus; Boro and Millwall might try it however. Brentford are the other fixture and they are probably safe but not getting anywhere near top 6; no need for them to be cautious.

Still think there will be a mentality of thinking a 0-0 at the Lane would be a good result and far less risky than trying to get a 0-1.

We'll see mate I suppose. However I don't worry about teams sitting in against us anymore. It only really caused us major problems before Wilder came in; we were THE big day out for many teams in League One. Wilson [2nd season], Weir, Clough and Adkins all struggled to overcome this mentality from opposition teams. Keep us quiet, frustrate us, turn the home crowd against us etc etc, just try and nick something, anything and it is a good result.

We overcame it on most occasions during the promotion season and last season too; I just think that we are too good to be snuffed out like that now.

This season we've only drawn 2 games at home, Stoke and the Pigs. Both rode their luck imo. If you look at the league games we have lost at home [Swansea, Leeds, WBA] well two of those outplayed us sufficiently at the right times. We all know how we gifted Leeds the win :(

I fancy us to do the business at home from now on.

Just had a look at 4,6,8,10, matches and Bristol city are at the top of everyone , autos for them ?

We can select and choose segments of form from across the season to illustrate a point, but at the end of the day it's the final table that matters. We have been in the mix all season, so there is no valid reason to doubt our chances 2/3rds into the season when we sit in close 3rd position.

You don't go up been 0-3 up and then drawing and then losing at home , we need to start winning matches end of , its all about momentum and confidence . Yes there are more matches to play but were coming down to the business end of the season we need to start getting 3 points now especially at home .
Leeds are second and they lost at home followed by a very very late equaliser against Boro...

Wendy and massive see what I did there !

Anyway , its getting tighter at the top , and with Derby , Norwich and Bristol City winning and us cocking up we really need to win Wednesday , it would be so easy to slip out of the top six so a draw would be no good , lets see what reaction we get from the players , and also what team Chris picks ? Will Hogan of Duff get a start ?

Its Win or bust for me on Wednesday
Biggest game of the season alert!

:D

We’ll beat Boro & Reading. But i’d be really tempted to put Moore in goal.
Amazing how Moore's skills have improved over the weekend!

As annoyed as I still am at the throw away on Friday and the Leeds cock up, I am infinitely more confident with Henderson in goal than Moore.

Anyone recall Hendo's 3 v 1 save vs Norwich? I can't recall Moore making a save I didn't expect him to. He let plenty, non-howlers in, that I thought he might have done better with. Scunthorpe away as an example.

We will dominate borough, and lose by one goal, just like always against the top teams.

I understand what the OP is getting at.

It's not literally losing that would be damaging, more what mental effects it may have.

Villa will have hurt. Losing to Boro may then start question marks and negativity.

This week won't decide anything in a points on the board sense, but it could be pivotal.

Tuesday is no longer normal, we're red buttoning
I see we've actually been upgraded to Sky Sports Action, whatever that is. Maybe an extra camera and replays?

I've wangled a few spurious meetings in the locale so I'll be BLUTing anyway.

Lose and draw against all our top 6 rivals
Beat the rest
And it will probably be good enough to be automatically promoted.

Appreciate that the Villa match could have affected the players mentally so it’s best to get back into the habit of winning asap.
However the players are professional and have shown to have a great attitude.
I’m sure even if we lose to Boro we’ll still bounce back, however I expect us to beat Boro on Wednesday night.

Seriously get a grip. I think you’ve had too many shandys tonight. No. I dont think he did it on purpose but its not the first time he’s made a mistake. He is very cocky & arrogant & I am sure you agree with that. I dont want to fall out with a fellow blade over what simply is my opinion.

I agree with you and I’d go further. Drop Hendo , never liked him. Drop Jack for his mis-kick. Drop Stevens for nearly giving away a penalty. Drop Wilder for his subs and let Knill be our leader. Aren’t opinions brilliant!

5-0 at West Ham , Stuart Slater played like Messi, whereas Simon Webster didn't.
