Stop abusing Henderson on social media ffs

Why footballers even set up accounts on these social media sites that are open to all and sundry, I will never know.

Your always going to get some crackpots having a go at you if you are in the public eye.

Best thing Hendo can do, is stay off it for a while or keep the accounts private. Concentrate on your day job, and that's it.

He's a confident lad though, and be will be right as rain soon enough.

He's made his twitter private and deleted/disabled his Instagram & Facebook pages because of abuse.

We're better than that...
Plenty of keyboard warriors love to have a go at times like this.Hendo now has to be big enough to come through .Big test for him We'd.
What some fans have to realise is he's still a rooky and rookies make mistakes ,he has to be big enough to take it and come through.

He's smart enough to understand that they're not proper Blades supporters

Utter cretins. Hope you're proud of yourselves. We should be complimenting the team and coaching staff on a magnificent first 80 minutes, and comforting a young goalkeeper who has been outstanding for us this season. Looking optimistically at the end of the season, citing the fantastic contributions our new signings made tonight. Wilder needs to play Henderson on Wednesday or the nobheads amongst our support will have destroyed him, and probably us.Fuck knows how they coped with the litany of shite keepers we've had since Kenny. I've never been as ashamed to call myself a Blade; to the extent it's rendered the result completely secondary now.

Yes, but is it United fans doing the abusing on the social sites? It could easily be the fans of other teams.

For the record I can't check mi sen, as I don't do any of the social networking sites (other than for work) and never have done. They don't interest me in the slightest.

Wouldnt question that for a moment. But scurrying off to the hills the minute you have a bad game isn't the answer.

Tufty fronted up...

Throwing the baby out with the bath water isn't the way to react either. It's time to rally round the kid. He knows he's fucked up, he acknowledged it in front of the world on TV - before Wilder. Hardly scurrying for the hills. I've got nothing against the vitriol he's receiving from other teams either, just Blades 'supporters'.

Hes probably just pissed off with himself tonight. Probably taking a bit of time off social media to get his mind clear again, and tbh that's probably not a bad idea.

He'll be fine once he's over the initial disappointment of tonight. Probably feels a tad embarrassed. He shouldn't do imo. Hes still a pup learning his trade.

This kid has thicker skin than an elephant wearing a North face jacket. I doubt tonight has beaten him into submission.

Agree....he’s extremely confident, verging on cocky. Making the odd mistake won’t unsettle him in the slightest.

Perhaps some on her would be better served just banning themselves from going on here for few hours, til the anger has subsided and rational thought has commenced again.

I often give myself a 24 hour ban on here to let me get my head around things, before i start flapping like a 1920s Chicago dancer. 24 hours later and i can make comments on here without feeling the need to kick off like a spoilt kid.

I cannot
Think of any game where it can be said that he has made the difference for us so that we have picked up,points. Generally the defence offers good protection for him.

He is there to stop goals and on some occasions could have done better, but so could others!

It’s the fact that it was two mistakes in such a short space of time that rankles, particularly as he is so cocky, hopefully he will learn from them and a bit of humility!

He's smart enough to understand that they're not proper Blades supporters
I was going to say, he’s pissed enough opposition fans off this season to get abuse after a couple of mistakes

I’m right behind him, but struggling to remember points he’s saved us. Which ones?
Rotherham is the obvious points winning performance, should have been 3 but his team mates let him down
A couple of good saves at Wigan and a virtual assist for Duffy's goal
Some very good stops against Norwich at home prior to the late winner for us. Point blank one shown on video below.
To be honest, he's made significant saves in many games this season.
He's athletic and makes some saves that recent goalies (including Blackman) would never have got to.
He's also made several point blank, reaction saves throughout the season that have left me speechless
Largely he get strong hands on saves as well (last night being very much an exception on the 2nd goal), although to defend him the deflection probably made that harder than it looks in slow motion on TV.
He's been good on crosses (although not in the Blackman class) as well, again with the odd exception and last night being a bad one
Finally, his distribution has been excellent leading to several goals and many chances.
