Too slow, sloppy in possession, general lack of movement off the ball. A bit dismal really.

I wouldn't worry too much. Recently we've taken our time more in the first half so we don't get knackered in the second.

Similar today, so here's hoping we blow them away now.

Get in. Lovely strength from Sharp and an unselfish assist for McGoldrick.

Edit: seeing the replay, perhaps lucky for it not to be a foul, but who cares? We’d started the half with a lot more purpose.

Wonderful back pass from Agent Donaldson to Henderson just before the move too!

A really flat first half corrected by an excellent 2nd half. Sharp MOTM for me, though I thought Fleck and Baldock also had very decent 2nd halves.

That's 20 for Sharp in all competitions: does Pinchy have to pay you again?

Slightly surprised Hogan didn't get a run in a low risk situation but very good cameos from Dowell and Madine made those substitutions worthwhile.

Really raised our game after the break.

We responded very well second half. Sharp is at the absolute top of his game.

First half was poor, playing direct like we had Madine on but obviously we didn't, although JOC played a sublime ball the length of the pitch to play in Duffy who controlled it brilliantly but nothing came of it in the end. That was the highlight really, just a few half chances.

Second half we remembered who we are and started playing it on the floor again with a bit of pace. A great performance from Bill with the assist and the goal, though I don't think McG could have put any less on the finish but no bother.

Baldock had a good game today I thought, like a man possessed up and down and also venturing in the middle too, was the more influential wing back today for a change, though Stevens had some good moments in the first half - I think it was Enda who hit an absolute rocket that was deflected away, he'll get one eventually, he must have been working on his shooting because they're ferocious and rarely high.

Deano hardly did anything but was alert enough for a good low take at 2-0 up late on. Egan was a bit weird, was further forward than usual and looking to pick out passes, which is fine but new.

Overall though a great 3 points and a professional performance with no bookings for us I don't think.

Bloody freezing though. Still can't feel my feet.

What a weird game. Completely flat 1st half. We looked half assed disinterested. Nobody driving forward, Both Billy and Fleck making runs that either weren't seen or were ignored. Just not on it. Bolton shit-housing and breaking up play. Second half, some urgency and maybe CW explained that Billy was making runs behind and had the pace on their centre-backs. Started to play it longer down the line or into the channels and we had em on toast. Not our usual game, but it needed that change.

I thought so too; very comfortable on the ball.

Looked like Modric too.

Always time on the ball, good touch, clever movement, looks a top player in the making. Won't be at Bolton long.

Got stuck in a fair bit as well. Left footed, which helps. Was thinking we should look at him as competition for Fleck, but didn't realise how young he was and that PL teams have bid.

Wilder made a great tactical change in putting Basham into the middle. Took Ameobi out of the game and he switched sides to avoid him. Seemed negative bringing Stearman on but that killed any threat Bolton might have had and Bash kept us in control of the ball.

First half was way too slow, second half we made it look very easy. Bolton had that look about them I recognise from our time under Clough and Adkins where they seemed relatively happy to be 2-0 down. No attempt to up the tempo or show any sense of urgency to get back in the game.

Not an exciting one, just a routine win.

Once we scored Bolton just looked like that was them done. No urgency about them to get back in to the game.

I got to praise Bolton I thought they were going to turn up & do the Wednesday special, park the bus & hope for goalless draw. but the 1st 15 mins I thought they were quite good offensively & causes a few problems but then not be surprised as games v Bolton are never straight forward after that we got a grip of the game where they never really had the same danger. I still think its a good win, at no point was I worried about not taking the victory even in the 1st half where i thought we were playing good better than people think. if mcgoldrick had a better touch on stroke of half time, we would have levelled as the team were creating too much to not eventually take advantage

in my opinion the Bolton & Reading home games are important to take 6 pts from that middlesborough midweek game in play off rivals. because them 2 I believe will be relegated come what may I felt it since November. so our rivals will pick them off so we have to. & on to a tough game away to villa park will always be tough. but could go top of the league on GD

I prefer this lass.

She is pretty much spot on about Bolton. Surprised they are not playing Oztumer at the moment but I wonder if its less about him fitting Parkinson's system and more about money.

Bolton are in a mess and to cling on the Championship isn't going to solve much either.
