Just signed this window. Is it just me, but I never rated him? Always thought Chelsea carried him and were weaker when he played

I always thought he was absolute bobar myself but some moderately successful managers seem to think otherwise. He is good at passing it ten yards to an unmarked teammate I guess.

Jefferson Montero moving on loan to WBA - good signing for them. Sounds like Swansea are blowing it up for this year, Daniel James off to Leeds and Leroy Fer to Lille.

Forest expected to sign Milovsevic & Bonatini, decent that. Looks like they'll lose Osborn though to Stoke.

Montero's a good one for WBA but I'm not sure he can play the same role as Barnes.

And disppointing that Abraham at Villa hasn't gone to Wolves/been recalled by Chelsea.

Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham is just one away from becoming the first Villa player since Peter Withe to score 20 league goals in a single season after his brace v. Ipswich on Saturday 26th January ensured three crucial points against bottom-of-the-table Ipswich Town. These goals also meant that Abrahams became the first player since Pongo Waring (!) in 1933 to score in seven consecutive home games for the club.

Billy Sharp scored in seven consecutive games from Dec. 13, 2015 to Jan. 23, 2016. Not all at home, but at least his name isn't 'Pongo'. :D

Reckon the best thing for us was Harvey Barnes going back to Leicester he was there best player by a mileee they looked awful against Bolton the other week.
Let’s just hope that alien Dwight Gayle gets recalled

No coincidence Bruce starts after window is closed is it..

Oh and I think Ricky meant promotion rivals hahahahahahah let’s all laugh at Wednesday

The Star reporter is claiming with a straight face that Bruce wants to have a good look at his squad first:-

If only he could have somehow started work a month earlier...

If only there was any money surely?

It'd be nice to see a top flight side take that Clarke from the Dirties. He looks like another in the Brooks mould; a real game-breaker.

As it is, Leeds have stated firmly that he isn't going anywhere, and that's the end of it. Novel.
Same mould ? He must be his Brother he is so similar !

Tyrone Mings to Villa. James speedy winger at Swansea who caused us problems the other week having medical at Weeds.

Yet Steve says something else

Not a promotion rival, but we play them last game of the season, Stoke: Signed Sam Vokes and Crouch has left for Burnley

We might slag the Pigs off for no signings, (again) but it does look as though they are keeping hold of Bannon, Reach, Jaoa and Forestifairy.............................so in reality they have had an excellent window!

A move that will see them under a transfer embargo at the very least.

West Brom looking like they’ll be bringing a couple more in. So only really Norwich who haven’t strengthened yet

Jacob Murphy and possibly Stefan Johansen to West Brom. Disappointing but could be worse.

Tom Huddlestone in talks with Udinese.

Things in the pipeline? Like a decent supply of Ginsters Steve?

This has all the signs of last try for success by Chansiri. A manager who couldn't wait to go on holiday, exactly at the time his club were struggling to show why they have been so underwhelming? I know this has been said many times recently, but what a sorry excuse Bruce is, pocketing Chancer's money while soaking up the sun's ray's all the while his team of 'experts' take the reins and continue to show a complete absence of anything vaguely resembling managerial competency.

Should prove to be an entertaining year or two under Bruce's management, and all the while the pigs grow even more desperate.....relegation anyone.

Sad pathetic team, supporters and a has been manager.

Calculated gamble maybe? Sell two or three to avoid the embargo and they get sucked into the possibility of a relegation scrap. Keep them and stay up they can then re-group in the summer, offloading where required.

If they get those two then I would be worried, but saying that, will that still replace the loss that Barnes is, because he created or scored erveyone of their goals, pretty much.

Its not a good window for Wednesday, if they don't sell one of the above, probably two, then they'll be in a transfer embargo all summer and they'll be screwed! Hahahahaha!

Ye they're in theory stronger but they're not good enough to go up, they'd be better off selling Reach and still staying up, probably, and then more likely to avoid a transfer embargo. I hope they sell no one to be honest.

But in the summer they'll be under a transfer embargo so they won't be able to replace the players they've offloaded. I suppose the 'calculated gamble' could be that they're hoping to make the play-offs, as their owner has hinted at.

Villa trying for Leroy Fer now, I was hoping he'd bugger off to France with Lille.

West Brom apparently getting Murphy AND Montero.

So it will be impressive recruitment from them but it looks like they're signing two wingers to replace Barnes, rather than any one player who can play the same position. But I would've thought they'd only start one of them, due to having two top strikers. Those two behind Rodriguez would be good though.

With Holgate signing as well, their squad will be stronger, but I'm not sure it will make up for Barnes' impact.
