Hi Folks,

Probably a futile request but if anyone has tickets for the away game against Scunny in a couple of weeks time which they are looking to sell on for whatever reason I would be very grateful if you would either reply to this thread or send me a message.

Many thanks.

We also kind of forgot about this one (shows the level of enthusiasm about this one).

Can't get tickets in the home end online with a Sheffield postcode, however, I do believe that someone will be making a trip to Scunthorpe after work tomorrow to call in at the ticket office....

why is this one an early kick off? Is it down to expected trouble??

The Spanish inquisition was faced and we've managed to get tickets in the home end so it's best behaviour all round (initially was told they could only sell to people on the database... but a Doncaster postcode swung it in the end).

Although if the last few trips to Scunny are anything to go by, we'll have nowt to get excited about.

Anyone driving to this know any good parking? :)

There is a car park right next to the away end, if you are there early, you get out plenty quick enough :)

Can't remember how much it is, i'll still have a "receipt" from the last few visits in the car though :D

Cheers foxy:thumbup:, really looking forwards to the game now, although i'l no doubt be left feeling down on the day:rolleyes:

Some facts from the BBC website...

  • A victory for Sheffield United would be the 100th win of boss Kevin Blackwell's managerial career.
  • Since losing their first league game against Sheffield United in 1959, Scunthorpe have not been beaten at home by the Blades (W2, D3).
  • United have recouped seven points from losing positions this season - more than any other Championship club.
  • Darius Henderson has committed more fouls in Championship matches this season than any other player (41).
  • If on the field from the outset, Henderson will be making his 200th club career start.

Did someone say Bunn has cost us again? The lad is totally out of his depth.

Never heard Keith Edwards sound as gutted as he did when Evans scored. The man is a complete and utter prick.

Mind you, I bet Stafford and others on here were choking a bit on it as well.

Can't believe how many goals we're leaking at the minute. Clearly the 'keeper is a massive problem but we seem so easy to open up at the moment. What's happened since Derby away when we looked so assured?

The commentator said "what a mess" sounds like a nightmare. The defence seems to be a shambles at the moment.

From where we were sat at Glanford Park, it looked very difficult for him to do much with the trajectory the ball took. May stand corrected seeing it closer on the reply though.

Hooper

Foxy (and anyone else that saw the match)

What did you think of Hooper for Scunny?

Keith Edwards was raving about him all game

He had a decent game, but spent most of it whinging and trying to con the officials.

We ended up sat on the home end (long story), just outside the box on the side he was playing on in the second half.

He caused us some trouble, but spent a lot of time pulling shirts and throwing himself to the floor. Don't think he'd get away with it in a blades shirt.

The Scunny fans around us seemed to like him, but kept commenting that he couldn't head a ball.

They played well as a team overall, with the forward players linking up really well and managing to expose our badly performing defence.

At least you didn't have to put up with fans around you singing all game, their fans were about as good as our performance.

Today was up there with the worst performances i have seen from the blades, we just looked totally uninterested

Bunn has got to be replaced soon if he carries on the way he is, he needlessly gives away possession with a long hoof when a short pass is a better option, and is consistently beaten from distance
Jordan Stewart is lucky to still have a contract after two shocking 'performances'
We didn't have a central midfield at all today, and we really missed Monty
On the plus side, i thought that when given the service, Hendo did well with what he could, and Kyle Walker looked a lot more assured of himself playing in midfield.

I'm not a knocker of Blackwell, he transformed our fortunes when he took over, and he did a great job last season too, but he needs to seriously change some things around this season because we don't look capable of keeping a clean sheet or winning a game at the moment
