According to my working out, we are on Sky 5 times between now and the derby. That is the only time the Pigs are on Sky If you discount the red button. Now love or hate Sky there is a very good reason for that. It is the fact that we play open expansive football which is lovely to watch. The Pigs just play shite, in fact, the only reason they are on Sky is because of our popularity. Neutrals must love watching our games, win or lose they get a bloody good game, and with new players coming in it will only get better. Enjoy the ride. :)

Yay! More money for our manager to spend on new players!

Never mind, it's still in the owners' pockets.

No it's awful, fixture rearrangements are the worst, I have to request days off months in advance, which I try and take every home game off. (unfortunately were I work it can be tricky to get the time off consistently)
Just for sky to move the match, I honestly hate any news about sky showing us, since I fear I'm going to miss even more games, sky are scum nothing else.
I couldn't careless about the money the club gets also, since it barely pays for players wages anyway.

Sky TV is fuckin shit...I have a 200 mile round trip to each home game and it really knackers my plans up when they shift the fixtures, especially from Saturdays to night games....I prefer to travel by train but can't get one home from a night match and travelling by car up the M1 on any evening is a nightmare but a Friday is a total ball-ache, coming back isn't any better as it is generally closed for 2 or 3 junctions..

£100K per match - you only need to lose 3,000 of the gate and we're losing money.

How many do we have coming up on Sly now then?

From a selfish point of view, the more games on Sky the better, but I understand the problems it can cause some people. I think Sky could help with that by planning their schedule a lot longer in advance - I know they want to wait to see which matches will be more interesting clashes, but everybody knows it's a lottery whether you get a good game or a duffer. Just pre-plan the games for the season and only leave the latter part of the season open to be re-arranged.

We’re more popular amongst sophisticated neutrals than our own fans, most of whom think we should gerrituptfield and shooooooooooooot.

They’re well informed in S2.

Very very true my friend. It's always great watching how far we've actually come since CW took charge of the team.

The football we play is a fast paced and mind boggling at times, when you get centre halfs flying down each flank and the way Duffy light's up a match with his trickery and all the team in general. But most of all Billy keeps all the fan's guessing of what is going to happen next.

It's said by all the pundits that the style of play CW is so different from the obvious run of the mill stuff, and the best thing about it is, it's working and hopefully it will get us to the PL.

It's how whichever team turns up at the Lane, have to change the way they play just to compete with us on any match day. It's testament to the manager and all the backroom staff but again most of all, the team he's put together for a mere £5 million, and you get West Brom at the Lane with one player costing more than that is just crazy to any football fan.

The way we ran away with the leauge One title was unbelievable, to think we spent 6 seasons in league one just shouts out just how bad the team was playing and at times struggling to keep up.

Sky broadcasting of 5 matches i think you said is proof that CW's style of is catchy and working for the BLADES, and credit to him.

My eldest turning 16 has knocked the trains on the head....no more family and friends discount cost has gone from £32 for 3 of us to nearly £50....back to the car!

You can get a “Two Together” railcard which will save you a 1/3 on the tickets for the two together as the name suggests.

Can’t you also get young person railcards? I’m not that young anymore so not too sure on the details of those.

There's 3 of us....my youngest and I can travel on family and friends but my eldest is now on a 16-25 which saves us literally the square root of fuck all on his ticket!

What day and time is this ride taking place

Monday @ 19.45
Thursday @ 19.45
Friday @ 19.45
Saturday @12.30
Saturday @17.30
Sunday @11.30

I enjoy my football at 15.00 on a Saturday afternoon its getting fucking ridiculous the way they fuck about
with football

Wait until we get to the promised land. With teams playing in Europe and sky TV even more are moved.

It does always make me wonder when it will tip to far and there is a proper backlash. Or will we always just get bent over and take it?

What would be the best protest you could think off that would hit home but wouldnt disrupt the club / team?

Yeah that's the one, but combined with the family and friends card it makes no difference to the adult price.....me, the eldest and youngest on family and friends, (classes as 1 child and 2 adults) is £49.....add in the 16-25 card and it is......£49!

It was £32....

So thanks to my son being classed as an adult at 16 our Government force another vehicle back on the road....fuel to Sheffield and back works out at about £25...

Unfortunately Sky pay the piper and the clubs accept these stupid ko times
As a protest the only one I can think of is a giant banner opposite the the main camera angle voicing the fans frustration but as with the Sky TV is fucking shit chant they would probably blank it out or the club themselves would remove it
The only way the Blades will ever get back to Saturday at 3pm is to get relegated to L1

Dunno if youve heard of split ticketing, apologies if you have, but it's basically where the below web site works out the cheapest way to get to your destination by splitting the journey into smaller chunks. Doesn't always work out much different but can get a decent discount especially on the longer journeys. Gives you another option if you dont fancy the car.

First time I’ve had empathy with the seatsmashers. Kick off times all over the fucking place.
