James Hanson. He was the original Madine, without being a full on c*nt. Guess he served some purpose in the end. Hopefully Madine does too.

Some disliked the following:-

Neil Shipperley
Darius Henderson
Leon Clarke
James Hanson

A few Blades don't like target men strikers, us that are a little more savvy about football understand how effective they are to the team.

Once Madine starts scoring for us we'll not hear a peep from all the snowflakes.

From the word go, does anyone even come close to Madine? I mean Curran was a pig, but not to this extreme surely? Before my time though.

Personally I think Hated is the wrong word but if this current rumour if it's proved to be true the Madine would be top of the list of players to have disliked prior to joining. Having said that I also had a similar dislike to Billy Sharp returning as I thought he was passed it and his legs had gone  just goes to show how wrong ones assumptions can be :p

Madine might not score that many (mainly headers from corners) but he should still be useful
there’s a good chance he’ll win headers and create general havoc meaning Sharp will benefit from the knock downs.

Add in Boozehound Robison. I had people commiserating with me at work the day he was announced as manager.

My dirty secret, I was interviewed on Look North when Robson took charge and I said that I was pretty happy with it and thought his contacts would help us get back up.

How wrong I was. I blame the inexperience of youth.

One big difference between the Curran signing and Madine (if it happens) is the former was signed by the chairman of the time (Reg Brealy), if the latter signs it's down to the manager.

If its good enough for cw it's good enough for me.
There's enough players wilder has brought in and has moved on swiftly if he feels they are not part of the set up.
What I can't get my head around though is if he is coming, then why Clark?
I'd take clark over him any day and to me,very similar players.
Clarke has done 7/10 since his return for me.
Pointless addition imo.

I said “it’ll be alright, they’ve only brought him in to keep Brian Kidd happy”, although I knew full well it would be a disaster.

We are not considering either Clark or mcgoldrick might be on the move this window. McGoldrick might be attracting attention with a short contract, fitness and goals/performances.

I wouldn’t say I hated any Blades player but the ones I was glad we got rid of are:

Marlon King by a country mile, followed (jointly) by Dean Hammond and Martyn Woolford.

Also, I can’t remember his name but the midfielder we signed from Reading that just ran around waving his arms. He was utter shite.

One that I know not many will agree on (including my old man) but Bobby Ford.
