Wilder and Knill are professionals, they are doing the job to the best of their ability and within the constraints imposed on them by not having access to the multi millions which a number of their competitors have.
To further handicap them by insisting that they can only sign players who qualify for sainthood is a step too far.

To us this is our club, it's the team that we have followed all our lives, usually because our fathers and grandfathers were Blades before us.
Wilder is also a Blade, but right now he's doing a job, he's earning a living for his family and he knows and accepts the fact that Blade or no Blade if things don't work out as required by the owners then he will be sacked.

I'm not thrilled by the aquisition of Madine - if it happens - but if he does a job for us and we get promoted as a result then I will be chuffed.
The fact that Madine is a nasty bastard is what he brings to the party, our current strikers aren't soft lads but I don't think any of them pose a real physical threat in the way that Madine does.

This reminds me of when Graham Souness signed Maurice Johnston the first catholic player Rangers had ever signed.
Although I detest Madine far more than Maurice Johnston.

Purely for the fact that Madine comes across and has proved to be a high class twat who is quite happy to be billy big bollocks to the normal working man.
