It is common to do this, and it is of course common sense. You want to know how a player will be received. Sharp won't have a veto, but his opinion will carry some weight.

I'm not explicitly talking about transfers, but Sergio Ramos has a big say in off the field matters at Real, as an example.

I think that’s right given the history between them, Billy’s standing (club captain), the run we’re currently on and Billy’s form. We don’t know for certain if Billy will be consulted but I reckon Chris is a smart cookie and I think he will have done.
