When asked 'Where you from" I answer "Sheffield", the response 95% of the time is "Ah, are you Sheffield United?", no mention of Sheffield Steel and definitely not the S6 lot. Then you don't have "live" phone-ins. The only way they could do that is is the whole show was pre-recorded and edited.

What they do instead is have a short delay of a few seconds to give the presenter a chance to cut out any bad language. However, it is only a very short delay and the presenter may get caught out and not stop the word being broadcast live.

I'm o.k. with the present situation personally. I think live radio phone-ins are entertaining because you never quite know what topics are going to come up or what folks are going to come out with. Good or bad.
