latest mantra is that the league is very poor this year, just because we’re near top. No doubt it would be strongest league ever if they were doing well. They’ve even had a poll to ask PL fans who they’d like to see promoted most from championship, although I can’t find it now, so obviously they weren’t getting the expected answers

The one line that makes me smile is always in our shadow
You have to have some substance to cast a shadow .they offer nothing of substance for us to get any degree of shade
2 decades out side the top flight what shadow does that cast.

They rattle off terms they believe in that simply do not have any basis in reality.
We are doing well as we are only playing teams when they are out of form
Or because we get penalties.it must be a poor division if United are doing well
But aren't they playing the same teams
Thing is they believe this Shit.

Ok, I'm just going to say this.

The elite of English football do not care about the Pigs, they are irrelevant to them. It's 18 years since they were up there. They aren't one of the biggest clubs in the country, their top flight status is a distant memory, consigned only to snippets of 'premier league years' on Sky Sports.

So much so, that the Premier League have more recent affiliation with:

Burnley
Stoke
Wigan
Blackpool
Reading
Hull
Wolves, several times
Swansea
Cardiff
Huddersfield
Portsmouth
Bournemouth
Charlton
Brighton

I wonder how the deluded explain how such 'less fashionable' clubs have had much more significant top flight status than they have in that time.

They're a has been, or more a barely ever was.

The clown mark the Pitsmoor owl keeps talking about history on twitter! What history they talk like they have won countless trophies and are up their with the greats of English football. They are a very strange bunch.

Manchester United
Arsenal
Tottenham
Chelsea
Manchester City
Liverpool

These are big clubs with massive support and fantastic histories..

Wendy fluked a 1-0 against Man Utd 30 years ago.. then sacked the man that won it them shortly after, relegations followed and league one beackoned, the arrogant “premier league return ticket” is now old enough to get the beers in, spot the difference, glory indeed...

It’s an endless stream of stupid bullshit thrown up by nutcases who really just want the attention. They should just take their shirts off and stand at the front like a child trying to get on tv... it works great for one of them already..

I live abroad and have worked all around the world for the past 30 years. When asked 'Where you from" I answer "Sheffield", the response 95% of the time is "Ah, are you Sheffield United?", no mention of Sheffield Steel and definitely not the S6 lot. That being the case I'd say that The Blades are the bigger and more Famous Sheffield Football Club! ---- Up your PIPE Deluded Ones!

50 years of education has made us all more aware except some . There was no hatred in our use of words back then . What's seen as poor choice of words now were first generation of awareness of what were people alien to us. I Never saw a black person till I was 16. I couldn't hate them as I didn't know them . Being gay again was alien to me never aware of it. My only awareness of it was tv characters who we know now were not realistic . You can be as appalled as you like but was a different world then As I met more after 70 s onwards you realise they are the same as us.Some good some bad . I' see no race . We are all homosapians I have 5 people of different hues of skin in my family now. I was president of the Caribbean football club for 3 years in the nineties
Had many a discussion about how ignorant people were in the seventies to things they didn't understand . They weren't all bad people just unaware and short of facts. People tend to be less acceptable of things they don't understand

Footballers in those days smoked and drank heavily out of ignorance of health issues. We all learn as we go .

Ah, the old “I used to be racist but then I met a black person and liked them” line.

again its your definition of racism
to me racism is a hatred of people , or an unwillingness to accept them
as Ive tried to explain , we didnt know of them as there werent any in our lives
how could I be racist to people I never came across
You seem like a person who dislikes people for no reason other than not being aware of things

thats a form of racism on your part

shame on you for being so judgemental

I will forever remember a comment from a pig fan saying United have not played anyone above them yet ....................... at the time we were sat top of the league. You do have to be utterly stupid to come up with such pearls of wisdom.

You didn't know anyone black in the seventies?

You said earlier, anyone who said they didn't use racial insults at that time would be lying.

Make your mind up.

you can't have people saying stuff like that - period - its up to them to control their phone ins
Then you don't have "live" phone-ins. The only way they could do that is is the whole show was pre-recorded and edited.

What they do instead is have a short delay of a few seconds to give the presenter a chance to cut out any bad language. However, it is only a very short delay and the presenter may get caught out and not stop the word being broadcast live.

I'm o.k. with the present situation personally. I think live radio phone-ins are entertaining because you never quite know what topics are going to come up or what folks are going to come out with. Good or bad.

Some hilarious comments on there, "for them it's hate Wednesday first the love United"......and......"For them it's more like "HAHAHA look Wednesday we are in third, look at us we're doing well and you're not" Rather than "we have a serious chance of promotion here lets focus on ourselves".........says the pig fan who's post is part of a 163 page thread about us.....you couldn't make their dum-fuckery up!

They are racist insults now as we have designated them as such now . The term paki came from cricket tours and Brian Close referred to them all the time as pakis . But it was just an abbreviation but is now considered highly offensive . Just a different time

Atkinson wasn't sacked, he left to join an actual big club.

They still think we haven't played anyone decent :)

Well you wouldn’t know as apparently you’d not met any but the black kids I grew up with in the sixties and seventies certainly weren’t happy being referred to by the n word. We all knew it was wrong then.

Jesus.

If that’s what you were reading at 14, it does explain a lot.

They never comment on fact.

*Will be hounded out and banned for sacrilegious comments against Chansiri FC

They're spouting their usual crap about us "hating Wendy more than we love United"
But this is yet another one of their pathetic ploys to somehow paint the picture that the whole world thinks about Wendy first and foremost and everything else including their own club is an afterthought. It reinforces their own deluded beliefs about how important and massive they are.

I've lived in various parts of the country during my lifetime but I have never met such a bunch of needy, cry baby, pathetic insecure twats in my life.

Everyone, and I mean everyone that I have ever spoken to about football and told them I support Sheffield United has told me that they prefer United to Wednesday, which I take with a pinch of salt.
And yet, everyone that talks to one of them that says they always preferred Wendy to United is obviously telling the truth

They all sing the same shit from the same hymn sheet, desperately patting each other on the back, desperately creeping around the fans of other clubs looking for compliments, and desperately consoling themselves with their deluded bolox that everybody thinks about them before even their own club.

Soon they'll have their stadium sold from under them, providing it passes a fucking structural survey. The money will be used to prop up losses and fiddle the FFP rules. We'll see how they like that when a substantial amount of their turnover is taken up by rental payments

When I lived in Sussex I worked with a Norwich fan who once turned to me and said “you know everyone not from Sheffield prefers Wednesday to United, don’t you?”

But then, he always was a contrary bastard. Also being in his mid twenties, he grew up knowing us as a warnock team so I guess he can be forgiven.

Norwich and Ipswich are probably the exception to the rule because they both hate us for some reason, but talking face to face even most of them would say they prefer Man Utd rather than City if talking to Man Utd fans, Arsenal instead of Tottenham If talking to Arsenal supporters

It's just what people do, depending on who they're talking to, most people think why rock the boat with a supporter of a club that I don't give two fucks about

The Norwich fan by the way, you should have kicked him in the bollocks

Fair, but then what would the Norwich guy's Sister have done for a jump?
