This kind of thing seems to happen quite a lot on RS. I think there is technology they can be used to create a "profanity delay" but it would appear they don't use it so I would question if they are really doing anything "to prevent further incidents"

I read that as them being cut off and prevented from speaking further. "in such circumstances" and "quick action" suggests the conversation in hand, rather than refering to an overall policy to use technology.

Just listening to Talksport now where they did an interview with the Norwich manager Farke.
The presenters Jim White, Simon Jordan and Bob Mills all agreed that Norwich play great football and have had a great season so far.

However Bob Mills said he really doubts Norwich can finish top 2, said their best hope is play-offs. Simon Jordan agreed.

Then Bob Mills actually said he predicts that it will be Leeds and Sheffield United finishing in tbe top 2.
He then apologised to any Derby, West Brom and Middlesbrough fans but said they all have a good chance of play-offs.

Bob Mills is a big Leyton Orient fan and prides himself on his football knowledge outside the Premier League. He watches loads of championship football so it’s interesting that he thinks we’ll finish top 2.

I think it was Preston away (might be wrong, I'm sure some ine will correct me) where United fans were chanting 'Dave Jones is Jimmy Saville's mate...'. So yeah United fans have also made some and completely unfounded accusations about the rival manager. It wasn't one live radio, but it was also a lot more than 1 person; so perhaps we ought to climb of our high horses and accept: there are some right idiots about.

Answers on the game in question would be much appreciated. Pretty sure it was Lancashire and seem to remember George Long being MOTM.

When did I say it was acceptable then . It is how we get more civilised. Learning from the past . Slavery was once acceptable . We had to evolve . We still are doing. We only gave women a vote a 100 years ago

50 years of education has made us all more aware except some . There was no hatred in our use of words back then . What's seen as poor choice of words now were first generation of awareness of what were people alien to us. I Never saw a black person till I was 16. I couldn't hate them as I didn't know them . Being gay again was alien to me never aware of it. My only awareness of it was tv characters who we know now were not realistic . You can be as appalled as you like but was a different world then As I met more after 70 s onwards you realise they are the same as us.Some good some bad . I' see no race . We are all homosapians I have 5 people of different hues of skin in my family now. I was president of the Caribbean football club for 3 years in the nineties
Had many a discussion about how ignorant people were in the seventies to things they didn't understand . They weren't all bad people just unaware and short of facts. People tend to be less acceptable of things they don't understand

Footballers in those days smoked and drank heavily out of ignorance of health issues. We all learn as we go .
