What a second half performance.....yes the ref was poor....but we now have a team of good footballers with huge spirit....for me this beats the Derby game...we are very much contenders this year....the new lad from Everton looks the business on clips I’ve seen....a couple more in and.....well....I see no reason why we can’t get promotion.

The last 15 minutes were very good. Before that, not so. But that last 15 was very much worth the admission.

The last 15 were the bit that the ref stopped fucking about with the game. Apart from that we looked ok but unspectacular. They missed chances as did we. We turned it up a notch at 10 v 10 though.

Took em apart in the last 15.

Just to help you you out, I think the words your looking for, might be..."GET THE FUCK IN, COME ON YOU RED AND WHITE WIZARDS!!"........or something along those lines anyway?

Fair enough that we battered them when 10 v 10 but based on that 1st half performance, which was one of the worst I can remember for a very long time, we haven't got a prayer. However, we all know that we are much better than that and it was hopefully a one off. So yes, maybe with a couple more of the right additions, you never know. UTB

Not sure why, but I came out of the match feeling a little underwhelmed compared to Boxing Day. I didnt think we were at our best today but you cannot fault the passion and commitment this team has.
I think this shows how far we have actually come.
Underwhelmed? What on earth do you want? In the 60 years of going to watch United that was one of the best feelings along with the Derby game that i can remember in a long time. Lets turn the clock back 3 years under madkins and think of all the satisfying games we witnessed back then eh?.

Lost for words....... Is that why........ You used so many ..... Dots?
Only joshing mate, top result today, in the face of adversity, dem Blades came through with a reight result. Top two slipped up (wankers) pigs gave us another leg up - they must be polarised between their delusional chase for glory, and their inability to close the gap!
UTB keep the the faith, who the fuck knows what can happen.

I did say I don't know why.
Maybe that cunt of a referee had worn me out.

I think you have to give credit to Blackburn for that first half. They worked like Trojans and didn’t give our lads any time on the ball.
Helped by the ref who saw every slight challenge as a carding offense.

Agreed. Blackburn looked rock solid defensively in that first half. Very well organised and better at the back that Derby IMHO. Looked poor going forward and the extra space in 10 vs 10 helped us finally overcome them. Fantastic stuff.

Hard to play well against a team.set up like they were with a ref determined to outlaw physical contact ,credit the lads for staying in the game and then for taking their chance to turn it round
I've sensed a real change in our performances this last couple of games. We aren't solely relying on outperforming teams now we're outhinking and outfighting them and you don't get in the promotion mix unless you can do these things

The first half performance was one of the worst you can remember?! We were below par and came up against an organised and resilient defence.

I can’t get my nut around some of our fans, I really can’t :D

That’s among the worst refereeing displays I’ve witnessed at the Lane. Too easily conned by players acting like lasses and going down as though they’ve been critically injured.

A great game and performance from the blades. Blackburn only came to rough us up and stop us playing any way they could aided by the most uncomprtent cunt ever to referee. At 10 v 11 i'd have taken a point but their player had to go for a disgracful tackle taking Billy and one of his team mates out. After that our character told and we destroyed them. Blackburn got all they deserved fuck all serves em right too the cheating bastards.

The first half was a fiercely contended half with them being resolute and determined. We rocked a little when we went down to 10 but we stuck to our clever reorganisation and when we were evened up, we took them to task and showed them what football was all about. Well done to McGoldrick who, quite frankly, popped up everywhere and was a thorn in Blackburn’s side. Billy was his awkward, demanding self and for me, it was a close call who was MOM. Glad I didn’t have to make the decision. Well played lads!

According to the Sunday papers, not giving opponents time on the ball was what they did to Leeds last week - and had Leeds rattled until the crazy last minute.
Blackburn are no mugs and are the sort of side that often take points from us by means of those tactics.
Extra credit to the players for beating our own demons :)

Mowbary must be hopping mad at their man for getting sent off. The referee was looking for any excuse to use his cards and he gave him one. It completely changed the game and our determination and quality kicked in big-style. Given where we were ten minutes before that, a man down and Dack coming on, it was a fantastic result.

You need to consult a physician for that memory problem.

Why don't you enlighten me? Seriously, when was the last time we performed that badly in a half of football? I don't remember it happening since we were in the Champ?

I said "remember for a very long time". Please tell me when we last had as bad a half as that in recent times.........certainly not since we've been back in the Champ.

And if you read the rest of my post, you'll see what a ridiculous last sentence you made in yours.

Going in with an unchanged team after the Herculean efforts in that 2nd half only 3 days ago was very brave of CW, especially given our 3 key players the wrong side of 30 were expected to cover for Bash going off at a time when they might have been thinking about a massage. They made 7 changes and it looked as though they had an extra man for much of that 1st half. Bless that silly twat for trying to take out two players at the same time (did he know one of them was actually a team-mate?) - only 18 outfield players on a pitch already more than twice the size of anything I ever got to play on is obviously going to play into the hands of teams that can pass a ball around like the Blades can.
Top 6 for starters lads and lasses - and those top 2 places are still up for grabs........................ sit back and enjoy the ride.

We're not the complete item just yet, we get lost and laboured in too many games
January transfer window is vital this season, it could be the making or breaking of us

I've got to admit that with 20mins left , 10 v 11 , Blackburn running the show , with all the momentum , and bringing on their big guns clearly intent on going for the jugular, I would have happily taken the 0-0 draw .But what a difference the second sending off made! We regained the initiative , and they fell apart big style. It was great to see us taking our chances again. Rovers had mad it hard for us & looked a decent side , their fans must have travelled home wondering how the hell that happened , but we have had that feeling so many times ourselves!

Likewise, I would have taken a point, although when Bash was sent off it just lifted the crowd and I thought we might defend well and nick a goal. I never imagined what was to come. When theirs was sent off though, you could tell who was going to dominate and our opening goal was a result of some excellent, patient passing build up play with a great through ball.......good football on an even playing field, now that the twat ref had evened things up.
