He’s not as daft as you think.

Apparently he’s launching a willy wonka type competition, there’ll be 10 unlucky golden coloured tickets enclosed in ten tuna cans distributed around the globe (possibly a couple shot into space for any ailiens who obviously will be wendies)

The ten losers will be invited to the rust bucket for their first visit where they will be entertained with a grand tour of the sights, they’ll wonder at the great tarpaulin, be stunned by the account books, and re enact the winnall / foristieri fight before gazing on Jordan Rhodes contract in amazement, and then finally given a exclusive viewing of Bannans cheaper Rolex before moving on.
(if you know, you know ;))

The massives will then enter the home dressing room in silence as is the tradition and be tested on how massive they know they are on the deludometer, after staunchly denying barca and real’s trophies as “lucky” and their crowds of containing mostly tourists, the winner will then be handed a life size statue of Mark Duffy as he walks out of the players entrance as a final test.

Should they hand back the everlasing bounce stopper claiming it was a freak goal whilst muttering he wouldn’t get in the team, that will prove their delusion level beyond doubt, they’ll be awarded the rust bucket and a free waddle mullet cut from Eric’s, a signed copy of diamond lights plus some decent Nike airs to doge the traffic when retrieving the owl sign from the road, and finally a car parking space with the title “Mr” before their second name..

It all sounds very fishy but “get the cans in” could mean something very different in s6 and the universe this Xmas... be lucky, not luhuky!

It’s a big long boring fucking joke I know, just like that lot. :D Merry Xmas blades, what a great start to festivities..

With or without McCabe we're a million times better than that lot. Its the fans who make the club not the chairman.

Very true snoots but I'm making a comparison and feel it worth highlighting the difference between the two. Credit where it's due mate.

Can't the Co-op bank bail them out again??

Well, I think they and their shareholders should feel some moral obligation.

Lets face it, if it wasn’t for them, Wednesday could have quietly gone out of business years ago, but no. Thanks to their intervention, their fans have to witness the slow, humiliating and painful decline of their once great club as it creeps slowly, ever closer to inevitable oblivion.

I hope they’re proud of themselves, I know I would be ;)

"With a corrupted culture within a football club it's more likely that his and our losses will just increase".

Taken from former Chairman Lee Strafford on Owlstalk. I think this is particularly relevant when you consider Wednesday fans were demanding Radio Sheffield ban Michael from Football Heaven, apologise, and that Michael should be taken to court etc. etc.

I notice that none of the Wednesday fans disagreed with Lee Strafford though, but found it impossible to a accept when Michael said it. I hope someone points this out to Radio Sheffield.

Slow news week about the blades, hated arch rivals in turmoil, don't see why it shouldn't be discussed?

Me neither. I know there’s people that will always say “I don’t give fuck about them”, but the same goes for my neighbours yet I can’t help but stare when things look naughty.

It's like watching a slow motion multiple car crash, you know you shouldn't keep watching, people are going to get hurt or worse but you just can't look away.

The only real difference being that it would be entirely inappropriate to eat popcorn while watching the car crash, whereas in this instance somehow it seems only fitting.

Less of the "once great club" if you please. They've always been 'orrible and deluded.
Rant over..........and Merry Christmas to one and all.

Chansiri was in it to make a quick financial killing, that's all.

If Hooper had stayed fit it may well have worked.

All he needs to do now is sack Jos, bring in a survival expert, sell Rhodes to Norwich and flog Reach to Wolves for a cartload.

That's what a chairman who's in it for the duration would do.

But he's not in it for the duration, and never was.

What sticks in my craw is his using the fans as a pretext.

I do hope that in all this jovial pork bashing, WE could be in the same position in a short while if the Prince wins the court battle.

Does anyone actually know what the Prince has got lined up in the same way as Chansiri at S6?

Slag off McCabe all you want - this could be us 4/5 years down the line if things don't work out right.

And a few pints in a pub on Halifax Road.

We can all take great delight in seeing them suffer but if we don't go over to their place next March and give them a real stuffing then all these pages (and there's more on Other Football ...) will have been a total waste of time.

It might be the last chance to smash them for many a year.

Take note Chris.

But lets just enjoy it while we can eh?

But surely now that The Massive have come on the market the prince will drop us like a hot potato and buy them?

Why continue to involve himself with such a low key outfit such as us when he could become internationally renown overnight by owning a club which is comparable to Real Madrid, Juventus and Man U?

Fair point ….. but McCabe's taking us nowhere as he hasn't got / isn't prepared to commit the money that we need to move to the next level …….

We need a co-investor or a committed new owner who DOES have some money to invest and is prepared to do so …… the current Board are great at "talking the talk" but when it comes to the important bit (investing real money) they just
disappear off to court and make fools of themselves …… o_O

Yes, yes but it was played on a cold midweek night. With few away fans. And rain forecast.

What would United get for a home crowd if we were just below mid-table in The Championship? After all, we only averaged 19,387 during six years in the Third Division. :)

When Kim Wrong 'Un came in, the Wednesday fans bent over and handed him the lube. Their fans are easily fooled.

All this is food for thought for those who criticise Meeester McCabe.

McCabe deserves just as much criticism he’s just as bad at picking managers as tuna man if not worse

Tunaman spunks his £50m all in one go on 'big name' players and is a god in S6.

McCabe spunks £50m over 18 years to cover annual losses and is detested by some at S2.

Funny old game football, isn't it?
