If he'd take a wage cut I would at least consider it. I know he's not the type of player we go for in terms of attitude but last season and this season the main difference between our team and the other top teams is we lacked that little bit of quality.

He may not appear to be on the pitch during matches but he can create something out of nothing or just pop up from nowhere with a goal. We don't have that type of player and we often suffer sucker punches by the other quality teams, so it would be nice to be able to do that ourselves and just could be the difference between making the top 6 or missing out.

I think Derry or someone like that has said Warnock basically told them ‘look, I know he’s a prick but he’ll get us promoted so just let him get on with being a prick and you pick up your win bonuses’
