Colin Murray

That's the best half of football I've seen us us play in a long, long time.

We're all over the media, we even got a nice write-up in The Guardian:

https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...a-championship-match-report#comment-119986429

It's the writer's first article for them and she's possibly even outdone John Fleck in the flair department...
This is a great article, well written by someone who clearly knows her stuff and doesn't have some big time Charlie agenda. As an aside, I like Colin too - he's generally not one for big time Charlies either!

I have to give Colin Murray credit. He’s very balanced and unbiased when it comes to his opinions on different teams. I actually prefer him as a TV presenter. He can be a little over the top on radio and gets too excited. Dials it down slightly when he’s on TV.

He brings some credibility to the EFL show.

Just listened to the 5Live Fighting talk podcast from Saturday and one of the guest was saying that he's going to the Steel City Derby next week.

Colin Murray then went on to give the lowdown saying that every goal Adam Reach scores is from 30 yards, so look out for that, but then went on to talk extremely highly, yet again, about how much of a fantastic job Chris Wilder is doing.

I say yet again as one of the guests mentioned Wilder the week before and he gave them a point and also gave great feedback on Wilder.

He's also never been to a Steel City Derby, so if anyone has a spare, tweet him (He's got 499 loyalty points)

His dog has 1 point but won't lend it to Colin, and I for one applaud him for that.

yes I heard that & for a while now he has been a huge fan of wilder, but yeah when you consider the jobs Danny Cowley doing at Lincoln, Guardiola at man city, Dyche at Burnley, Mourinho at man utd (only joking :D) for him to say that you struggle to find a manager doing a better job in 4 divisions is impressive as he expected us to be more in Wednesdays position with all the off field issues. Colin Murray abilty doesn't surprise me, everything he does is good

that guy is someone called spencer FC (who knows, some bloke off youtube) is doing a charity 30 games in 30 days for movember

On the EFL highlights programme not long back, he said something like "Chris Wilder's working miracles at Sheffield United. He's not turning water into wine - he's turning it into champagne."

Murray announced via Twitter in July 2016 that he was to leave Talksport in September 2016, following the takeover of the station by News Corp. He stated that the concomitant business links between Talksport and The Sun meant that, after the scandal of the Hillsborough disaster and of its coverage by The Sun, his position would be untenable owing to the feelings of Liverpool fans (including himself) towards that newspaper.

What a fucking lad

Indeed. And by all accounts he was on one of the biggest salaries on commercial radio and had to return the signing fee he was paid when poached away from the BBC. Not many would walk away from money on principle these day.

Cowley was the other guy mentioned last week.

God I miss his show ,listening to jim white makes me want to drive my van off a bridge and I can't listen to that idle Tory twat Brazil

I'm not Brazil's biggest fan, but to call someone idle who gets up at 4 o'clock most mornings seems a bit harsh

He does no research ,shows no interest ,reads whatever his production team give him to read verbatim ( i have heard them plant many false stories and even got him to comment on months old matches if they are the previous evenings ) his missus gets up at 330 am to make him some rice crispies and defrost his car in the winter ,he goes missing in action more than any person should legally be allowed ,he's drunk on air ,nips off for a day and leaves his co chair to do the show and plugs places where he has had a freebie ,only seems alive when talking about where hes off to that days drinking or talking about the horse racing

Never understood how anyone could dislike him. He's been great at everything he's done.

Ridiculous that he’s never had a big job when you look at the joke of presenters on Sky ITV BT , why does been a footballer qualify you to be a tv presenter

You’ve got a point with all of that but I do find him funny and entertaining he’s just a complete natural at being able to just chat off the cuff with anyone and some of the stuff when he’s on with McCoist is hilarious! (Not so much with David Seaman though).

Couldn’t agree more with what you said earlier about Jim White though. What a wanker that guy is.

I have no idea what that sentence means

Was a bit vague :D

There was an episode of fighting talk a few weeks ago & 1 of questions were which manager doing best job in football league i think. 1 said danny cowley. 1 mentioned frank lampard & the funny Scottish bloke who narrates love island (never watched it) saud something like, If your going to go for best you go for top of the league & sung chris wilder praises

Alan Brazil is one of the “United” bunch. They feel uncomfortable talking about Sheffield United because there’s only one “United” in there vocabulary.

Murray, a proper football man, does his research and has genuine knownledge of the game.

Nah, lets get that annoying Sue Smith on to regurgitate exactly what every other pundit has said instead.
