That is possible, and should Basham play in midfield this season, we should have just the right amount.
However, though I appreciate that Basham is better defensively than most of our current midfielders, he would have a very tricky job displacing one of them, especially once Coutts is sharp.
Absolutely, fortunately were not in a rush for a new striker now, which gives us the ability to wait for the right one
I think if we look at where we were at the start of the summer, we've pretty much got cover across the pitch without having to square peg and round hole it.
I agree on Bash, I'd rather him at the back, but having the extra defender means that he can also pressurise the likes of Norwood, Fleck, Coutts and Lundstram (who didn't let anyone down when he came on yesterday) in midfield in case we need an extra hard working body in there.
When you sit back and look at it, you can see that we've attempted to address many of the weaknesses from last season. Something that once i have a bit more time i'd like to post about.
