Everything was sorted regarding Marvin Johnson coming to us 2 weeks ago.

He just requires a medical, and to sign.

Terms and contract sorted.
All the groundwork has been done.

Unfortunately, he is going nowhere until Boro bring in a replacement, I do not know if the delay has alerted other clubs, but judging by Wilder`s comments today, it has.

Does anyone actually know all this as a fact though? Has anyone actually involved in any deal said this? All sounds very vague and based on hearsay to me.

He isn't coming! At least according to sufc newsnow. Pulis has said no one is leaving. Time people struck off this as a fantasy and moved on and kept up. Time to look for someone else. What a farce this loan game is!!

Not many left backs/left wings get transferred from L1 for over £2m. Apparently Leicester and Man City?? were keeping a close eye on him a couple of years ago.

He's obviously not done it at M'boro but that hopefully that provides an indication as to his ability

There's a video on here from his previous clubs, if you can't find it its on youtube. He's got pace, can take his man on and has a sweet left foot from what I've seen - albeit on clips! Not so sure about him defensively though as he seems to have predominately been a winger.

That makes him look like Giggs or someone, I'm a sucker for a highlight feel but he scored hardly any at Motherwell then 3 in league 1 for Oxford. All those goals on that clip must have been when he was playing for his school side when he was 15 haha.
I defiantly can't judge him though, that's the first I've ever seen of him.
Looks very positive going forward, has some right pace and isn't scared to have a go.

I think what people are saying is there is a balance to be drawn. Longer efforts now and again rather than always trying to score close in keeps opponents off balance. Even the best passing sides mix it up, see Aguero’s first goal v Huddersfield. I like good passing football but I think it was Bob Paisley who said there’s no such thing as a long pass or a short pass just a good one or a bad one (or something to that effect). We should be unpredictable not wedded to one way or the other and that goes for both passing and shots at goal.
