I get that people would like for new recruits, particularly a striker, to be sorted ASAP but it's all getting a bit silly.

I don't think she'd ever bought anything from anywhere except the shops in the village. But I persuaded her that she'd have more choice and better prices from Coles. She picked the one she wanted and asked the shop assistant if she could have it "on appro". The shop assistant didn't know what she meant! Then when she explained, the shop assistant said, "oh, you want it on credit then - you'll need to take this form and go upstairs to credit management". So off to credit management she went with this slip of paper. They invited her into this room for interview. She emerged about 20 minutes later and said to me..."I don't think I'll bother". I asked why not, she said, "It was like I'd done a murder in there, questions they asked me! They wanted to know everything about me! I've never been treated like that before! I can go anywhere in't village and they'll let me have owt I want without paying. They can stick their bloody washing machine!"

Anyhow, none of this is much to do with Scot Hogan I realise - but thought I might just have a laugh whilst we're waiting for him to bloody sign!

Agreed. Doesn’t matter where you have been. If you’re not first choice and Sheffield United are the only club calling you should take it.

It is one of those clubs where you can play in front of 20,000+ and be idolised if you score goals. If you don’t want to play in front of a crowd like that and be the big fish you have no hunger for success.

He’s welcome here if he wants it. If not, move on to someone else and let him fade away at Villa Park.

Correct, loan a £10m striker for a season and challenge for promotion or loan to buy a Tom Bradshaw type that won't. I know what I prefer.
