Killa's mind elsewhere?

He positioning and decision making were nowhere near the normal level :(

he played no different to normal. I always see him out of position, pass to the opposition and panic when he messes up. Sorry but i don't rate him, never have, i still don't get the hype about him. He is like quinn, people should player watch more, you'd see how much he does mess up. Morgan can't play all defence, not fair.

In our season in the Prem Killa was one of the worst players we had. He was woeful, and truth be told he's little more than a pretty boy who can do the deed only when Morgan offers cover and protection.

If his mind was elsewhere it was probably on his hairdresser, or maybe he needs new tyres on his 4 x 4 but the bottom line is that he'll never be a Blade, he's only here for the wages so if he wants to go then let him but please, use the money wisely and spend it on a real midfielder, we haven't had one since McCall left :foxy::emmy::foxy:

Disagree with both of you there.

He's normally very solid and mops up most balls the come over the defence.

Don't really give one statto, he was wank ;)

:gallop:

When Morgan misses the ball Killa is usually 1st there.

Although today he had a bad game perhaps his mind is elsewhere? or he didnt want to do more damage to his wrist perhaps?

We defend too deep and I don't think Killa was strong enough to cope with Bedner. Having said that he was not at all as assured as normal.
Why did it take so long for Bedner to get booked today !

killa is quick and has good distribution, copes well against small and pacey strikers but against physically strong strikers he is too weak and often comes second best in challenges. he isnt Premiership class and we should accept an offer for him if it is over £3M. I would be disappointed if we offer him a new contract with higher wages

Killa played well up to the Bedner incedent. Then he seemed rattled. If Morgan makes a mistake it doesn't affect his game, prehaps he needs a bit more mental toughness as well as physical. Having said that Bedner was a real handful.

i reckon he was carrying a wrist injury.. by trying not to fall on it he was constantly off balance.. ironically he fell on it near the end.. really he wasnt fit but seeing as kev has left us with only four fit recognised defenders he had to play on regardless

You said earlier that we were physically stronger than them today. How does your comment re Killa fit with that?

I thought there centre backs and Bednar were very strong and also any midfield in league is stronger than ours. OK we matched up well and we look a half decent side at times but I think it's a miracle we can get results with Quinn and Monty in middle and Wardy out wide

He had his one bad game in 15. Nowt to worry about.

Killa is a good, classy defender at this level. We saw in the Premiership and at times against the likes of Wolves last yearthat, when he comes up against a top quality striker, especially one that bullies him, he can often make mistakes which get punished.

I didnt say we had 11 physically strong players. WBA had more weaker players than us such as Koren (got booked for diving),Thomas, Cech and Mattock. Our weakest player was unfortunately one of our CBs

We were physically stronger, however I thought it was the strongest or most cynical Baggies side I've seen for a few years. They harrased and fouled us everytime we went past them, making any flow to te play impossible. While they don't look as attractive as under Mowbray, this new style (very Italian in concept, mmm) will stand them in good stead in this league IMO and I think if we finish above them we'll go up. Good point in the end.

They were a few of their players that were strong such as Olsson and Bednar but most of them were cynical because they had to foul our players or be outmuscled in challenges

Killa has fancy hair so he clearly doesn't care about the club. That's a brilliant leap of logic there.

Furthermore, while he might not have played great in his first few matches at the club he was also our Player of the Year last year. You've clearly got some chip on your shoulder, but thankfully you're in the minority.

Actually, I think you're right. We should sell Killa and buy a midfielder - after all, we've got so much cover in central defence.

For what it's worth, I agree that Killgallon is a tad over rated. He only played 5 premier league games and from what I saw of him he struggled quite badly. He was also very poor under Robson (but then so was everyone else!).

I think he looks fairly comfortable on the ball, his passing isn't bad and he's quick. However, I think his pace sometimes covers up when he's been caught out of position, and I think he can get bullied out of a game in a way that would never happen to Morgan.

I like Kilgallon and feel it's important we keep him now at least til January. I was disappointed with him in the first half against Leicester where I thought he got outmuscled by Fryatt on occasion, he needs to bulk up and strengthen sometimes.

He was fine yesterday I thought until the second half, terrible wrong side for the goal and then scrambled on after that. I know he's capable of better than that. At the moment I think he's at his right level in a top championship side, in a few years he may could develop into a very good player I think but to go to the Premiership for a club in the bottom half is a gamble I think. Both on whether they stay up this year and on whether he's actually premiership quailty just yet.

Along with Petr Katchouro, Killa was the most overrated player out of our past POTY winners

Totally agree.

I would simply ask the question who would take his spot at centre half? Walker has played there but not weekin week out. Jordan Stewart has not been able to get into the Derby side so how can he be a replacement and Bromby has gone. We are now super thin at Centre half.

Happy Blade...Blackwell has a master plan, he is going to pay one of our 14 wingers at centre half when we get an injury or a suspension

Plus Jordan Stewart's a left back, so I don't think he'd be any good at centre half anyway!

It's strange to think how strong our defence looked 6 months ago, and now it's the club's biggest concern!
