Imagine that feeling. Brilliant!

Deane's goals v Bury (27.30) and Bristol City (31.10) Wow. Whenever people (fans of other teams) say he did have much skill or was a target man then I show them these goals. Argument finished. To do it once was sensational but twice. Not seen many other players score this type of goal since oddly.

I've 9 programmes from that season, he's Number 2 on the back of all these.
Programmes from the following games - Man City, Spurs, Sunderland, QPR, Luton, Derby, Southampton, Forest, Norwich.
From 89/90?

Programmes...shirts and I'd be selling them and heading to the Caribbean
Shame....... just when I thought my luck had turned. A match worn away shirt from the 81/2 promotion season (No.4, Matthews) up for grabs at auction next week..... I’m predicting £500

89/90? I would have thought 88/89? Regular right back in 89/90 was Colin Hill off the top of my head

In 1989/90 I was a student in Birmingham and one night went to watch Walsall v Shrewsbury in the Leyland Daf Cup. Wilder was on loan for Walsall and attempted to score with a spectacular overhead kick but it didn't come off. Would have been about November time.

Just opened my Fulham programme 1988.
Photo of Wilder scoring from the spot v Bury .

Apparently that was the first game I ever went to. Did Wilder get the first in that game do you know?

Edit: Just seen the video above. Wilder scored the first goal I ever saw at The Lane then! I'll take that.

Not seen this before, fly on the wall from 88/89. Brian Smith was the "zone man" that year. Dave Kilner also walking in on when Booker signed for us.

In Bookers autobiography he says that entire signing scene was staged for the cameras

Might be a stretch for the stattos but do you know of any away games in which United wore red and white and CW wore 2? :D

None in 89/90?
In the 5 away league games he played that season we wore the yellow/lime luminous shirt. Twice he wore the number 2 shirt (v Brighton and West Ham- he was ripped apart by Stuart Slater that night)

In the 3 home league games, Wolves game was the only one he wore the number 2 shirt. The others were number 6 (v Boro) and number 5 (v Bournemouth)

Pathetic!

No mention of what he had for tea nor how many dogs/cats were in the ground and which of those were included in the attendance.

Come on Silent Blade , please try harder!

Thanks mate appreciate that

The Wolves one? I am mate if you can point me in the right direction?
I'll have a look in my garage and get back to you.

I've got them all in opposition order rather than chronological so it shouldn't take me long.

No promises though.

I have a lot of programmes but I was never a compulsive buyer.

He may have worn the No 2 shirt but Colin Hill is listed at No2 in the programme.

You still want it Danny04 ?

If Danny04 is looking for a photo of Chris wearing a home shirt with number 2 at the back that season then he will be wanting the programme for the home game after the one against Wolves. The next home game was Barnsley.

Bizzarely Wilder is listed at No 2 in the Barnsley programme although he didn't play in that game.

Cheers Silent Blade

I've got all the home programmes from 89/90......probably got them all since 82/83 season.
I scanned some of the articles on Chris wilder on another thread where someone was looking for an image of one of the United shirts of that era.

Thanks for digging it out mate, ideally I'd like one with him being #2 (long story short I bought the #2 shirt from that season)

I've got a matchworn home shirt with no 2 on the back from that season. Don't know if that helps or not.

As I say, he is listed as No2 in the Barnsley programme but he didn't actually play, if that's any good.

I think that will be the only home programme from that season with his name on the back.
