Exactly the same amount of points as the same stage last season.

Lost to Middlesbrough both times, played play off contenders in each first game of the season (Brentford and Swansea), last season lost to Cardiff but today beat QPR who IMO looked good and could push for play offs.

Next time, take a deep breath and maybe wait before smashing your keyboard.

In Wilder we trust!

We won because the manager picked the best players available for their roles. The main criticism so far this season was he hadn’t been doing that.

And no one serious has called for his head... no one.

To be fair the "moaners" were spot on with the changes to that negative team of the first 2 games.
Thing is IB, it's not the moaners who got CW to make the changes. That was just CW doing his job.
Maybe we should leave him to it for a few games before assuming he doesn't know what he's doing?

The ‘moaners” were right which is why he changed the team. At least he seemed to accept he had got it wrong at the start. He really does overthink it sometimes. Now all he has to do is stick a ferret up Clarke’s kilt, drop Stevens and bung in Nortington double barrel with A capable back up on the bench and sign a fucking striker rather than pretend we can afford one.

I think "The Moaners" had a right to voice displeasure . Not because we lost, but the manner of the defeat at Boro and seeming lack of effort is never acceptable. Most don't moan for the sake of moaning, most moan because they have witnessed something that is seriously wrong. If we lose but obviously have direction and give 100% then we can't moan.

Why does it always have to be “moaners” vs “clappers”?

One win and it’s straight in with the I told you so. Everyone wants the same thing, United to be successful!

I don't think CW changed his team because the moaners were right Snowy.
I think he accepted his selection hadn't delivered for the second time straight after the Boro game and as good as said there would be changes long before he popped on here to get his instructions for the next game.

The moaners have watched plenty of football, 1000's of games in most cases. To dismiss them as knowing nothing about football is plain fucking stupid. Sure Wilder knows more than us. So does Weir, Clough and Adkins. but none of them are perfect. Occasionally, very occasionally that is, they are wrong and the moaners are right. The two matches prior to this and this one are cases in point where the moaners were proved right.

So, when we win everything is rosy, when we lose everything is terrible?

Going to be a long forum season.

Who’s saying that. Large amount of improvement required. But it’s the start of the season so that’s often the way.

Just requires a bit of patience, something the Bedwetters lack. ;)

What a load of bollocks. The 'moaners' were 'moaning' because we'd pissed away an undeserved 1-0 lead and failed to organise against a pacy substitute and because we'd stayed with the same pedestrian formation against a side which would easily punish us for the same lack of organisation. By three basic goals.

It resulted in us ending up bottom of the league on -4 goals. Enough for optimism? Probably not. What do you expect?

Happily we reorganised today and CW played the game properly with the players who can grind out a win. And we are minus one of those fucking liabilities which cost us badly.

Onwards and upwards. Hopefully with some quality loaness who we will sign in January.

Sounds like he changed because he accepted his selection hadn't delivered. So it seems like the moaners, who said that selection wouldn't deliver, were correct. Just took CW two games to appreciate he was wrong and we were right.

So you were right before a ball was kicked? half way through the first game?
Kinell mate, with what he sees/trains the team for during the week, I think 2 games for him to give his selection chance is reasonable before changing his own mind don't you?

MMMmmmmm. Now that might be a fair point. He's not the Messiah I suppose. Well put.

We were poor v swansea, abysmal v boro and henderson has put a motm performance in today. Good to get off the mark but a long way go to unshitty ourselves.

Anyone who endured the second half of last season could see that a midfield three of Lundstram, Evans and Fleck (with the latter out of position) was a recipe for disaster. Nothings been said about that with the benefit of hindsight.

Last season we lost at Middlesboro but we gave them a game
We lost to Cardiff but at least we gave them a game, just beaten by a better team

Fans reacting to shocking defeats where we offer practically nothing is a good thing, it lets the club know that we're not all brain dead happy clapping morons that can be easily conned by poor performance and poor transfer activity.

And just for the record because everyone will obviously crawl all over my posts like flies on shit and start making things up that I haven't said, I'd just like to say that I've never said one single detrimental word about Wilder

Can’t blame the Clappers YES. They’re always happy! :p On the other hand the moaners find it hard to eat Humble Pie. ;)

Mate these are serious football intelligentsia, the finest keyboard warriors known to man. Honed by years of sat scratching their arse and roaring “Gerritfowad”. They just knew. Give them the validation they rightly deserve.

Moaners had a point, still to do tbh. This win, plus a top signing/s on Monday can really get us up for it again.

Well, given that they moan constantly, the chances are they'll be justified now and then. In the main its unmitigated, always ill-informed, often untruthful and sometimes malicious, drivel.

Fair point. You knee-jerkers have an absolute right to constantly denigrate the team you claim to support. Nobody can force you to show any enthusiasm whatsoever. You are at liberty to promulgate negative, foot-stamping, self indulgent, attention-seeking garbage to your heart's content. Equally, I'll be here exercising my right to bat for the sane team.
