I guess its just that they've shown an interest and we are open to him going. Wigan had him last season on loan didn't they and they really liked him. He's got potential but I prefer Lundstram but I might be on my own there. Lundstram was crap v Boro but did ok v Swansea - in my view.

Well it will break that miserable partnership up fo sho....

It could be, and I suggest we all hold fire on the anger if it is, that Wilder has seen more in Ryan Leonard and doesn't think he'll be now needed in defence with Egan coming in.

I tend to think we'll see a loan midfielder signing in the next few days, most likely after QPR.

He cannot make a forward pass. He doesn't show for the ball. He doesn't collect it off the defenders. He cannot tackle. He doesn't score. He's an average average player and his place will be that of a bench warmer at best as soon as Couttsy is back.

Selling to a divisional rival on deadline day with no one likely to replace him, in a position we're already weak/light in numbers in is bizarre. Also if you think Coutts will immediately come back the player he was then you're in for a shock.

Good, not good enough. Surely someone else must be coming in or a change of formation maybe?

I do agree with most that it’s an odd move. He’s not been great but he’s better than Lundstram, and has been in the team ahead of Leonard. So we are going to sell the best of the 3 in Wilder’s eyes.

I hope there is someone else lined up, because if not then we are weaker still.

I don’t rate him or us with him to be honest... but this is a bold move if we have no one coming in!

But we look a far better team when we have fleck, another holding midfielder and an attacking one not just a flat 3

Evans does something that No one else on the staff does. He can take a decent corner.

But I can live with his 5 yards sideways free kicks that kill attacking momentum.

I don't get it. We're no selling a starting 11 player... ok the jury is out on him to say the least but the fact is since January he has been 1 of 2 midfielders who've played every game...

Baffled and worried.

We can't just wiat it out and hope for the best till Coutts is back, could be months before he's firing and ready for 3 games a week if at all!

No-one to replace him? Leonard.

And Coutts will come back and be more effective than Evans and Lundstram combined, because as I stated on Tuesday, they offer us nothing.

Why would you think Josh Windass is out of our wage bracket
Has it occured to you Wilder might not be in the slightest bit interested in Windass

it was his quote not mine, there is no player that can improve the squad we have exhausted all possiblies which I find difficult to believe. considering the players that other championship clubs have signed & clarkes performances where to say he's gone off boil since turn of the year is an understatement

Don’t understand. What is going on??

Miles ahead of Leonard, and better than Lundstrum, Coutts could be a while before fully up to speed.
And has the potential to be very good with his age still.

Off topic but Preston got Nemcha (whatever he's called) from mancitteh:mad::mad::mad:

The more I think about it, the more I don't get it. Unless there's a corresponding move, it makes no sense.

The man in your photo on the left is surely a factor. Once fit you'd imagine that Fleck and Coutts will be back as the central two with Duffy, Woodburn, or a new attacking mid above them, possibly Lundstram or Leonard, if Wilder persists with a more defensive three. Which leaves two out of Evans, Lunny, or Leonard on the bench and you've also got Bash who can play there - if we change formation like we di in the second half against Boro. Just too many of a similar type I guess. That and the fact Wigan are obviously very keen and maybe Evans is too with our start and Wigan's this season!

Definitely not better than Leonard or Lundstram. Hence why he's off.

Miles ahead of Leonard who we've not really seen? Pretty big claim that.

Thought Leonard looked decent when he came on at Boro but it wasn’t difficult to look better than what had gone before him that evening

I've just been and bought a roll end, of red carpet, it's in the boot, and I'm off up to Wigan now!!
If they sign Evans, I want to be the first to welcome him to Wigan, and he's having the fucking red carpet treatment, just so long as I never see him in a Blades shirt again, he'll be my most favourite player this season!!!
