Ok, I'll be the one to say what the majority think, WILDER OUT !

Perhaps now we can all see where the Oxford fans animosity towards CW emanates from . A great start to his tenure is quickly followed by a season that was ok but could and should have been much better .

But it's as his tenure becomes longer that the real problems begin . CW was slaughtered for trying the same tactics and same line ups despite the fact that everyone could see it wasn't working . Many accused him of being stubborn to the point of it damaging the club because of his deep seated managerial philosophy, it's his way or no way regardless of the fact it's clearly not working .

Thanks for the memories Chris but it's time to step aside . Don't kill the Club you claim to love .
I don’t care if it is a wind up and I look a twat for responding but just GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU CRETIN!

Cutting your teeth on winding thick Pigs up on BladesMad is one thing. Doesn't really work like that on here with Blades fans.

Still works though because loads on here don't know that his sole purpose is to WUM with serious-non serious 'controversial' wanker posts.

You're correct. I should have said doesn't work as well. Main difference is why when it's fellow fans.

Any one from bladesmad will know this is not a windup. For some reason coolhandluke was totally against Wilder getting the job, borderline obsessive about this, when appointed went on a crusade on every post telling everyone Wilder was no good and basically bad mouth him at every opportunity. The type of person who wants Utd to fail so he can justify his Wilder hatred, bet he loved yesterdays result

It's clearly personal, think back in the day he must have caught Wilder hung out the back of his mrs... Time to let it go mate, or let CW have another go, surely he deserves it

Actually it appears to have really started around December 2017 so probably a Christmas party when Tufty did the dirty. Plus only got socks on the 25th.

It was then he claimed a source within the club told him Wilder had lost half the dressing room and Duffy led the anti faction.
Then of course, Billy told him a few home truths etc etc etc.

The reaction on here was much the same as this time. Hardly anyone was fooled.

Nope, actually started before Wilder got the job. Coolhandluke was fiercely against him getting the job, he continued his hatred towards him after he got the job then went completely quiet with anything to do with Wilder as the results started going our way. I packed in using bladesmad early 2017 because found it hard to use/read because of the adverts so couldn't say what was said after that but I remember coolhandlukes personal crusade at the start of Wilders reign so no surprise to hear he continued it.

I missed that.

He'd changed his mind by October 2017. Where were we in the league then? :)

“There are teams in the league with bigger names and bigger wages. But we’ve got a spirit that money can’t buy. Everyone here has got each others backs. We all fight for each other and help each other out."

Mark Duffy. September 2017.

Get it pinned!
Makes the hairs on the back o mi neck stand on end :)

Has there ever been a better time to be a Blade ? Seriously , has there ?

I was too young to fully understand or experience our years under John Harris but remember very well the years of Bassett and Warnock . But there's something truly unique happening at the moment and its unlike anything ive experienced before .

Duffys comments don't just resonate on the playing side , they are comments that resonate throughout every single facet of the Club .

And as for us , the fans .... well , kick or disrespect one of our team and get ready for a reception at the Lane you'll never forget . Remember the idiot Madines disrespectful comments about ' our ' captain ? If they hadn't have dropped him and got him out of Sheffield as promptly as they did he'd have been very publically lynched when we played Bolton . :):)

Thank you Mr Wilder we've finally got our club back

Then regarding losing the dressing room......

"

It's hard to believe isn't it ? What's even harder to grasp is the fact that one of the most vocal anti wilder faction is Mark Duffy !

It's not a wind up . I never wanted Wilder in the first place . All I'm doing now is sticking my head above the parapet and making the call that the majority on here agree with but , for some strange reason, are unwilling to publicly concede .

So who would you replace him with that you think could do better?

Play the post not the poster. You know I don't like talking about THAT Christmas party .

The sharks are circling I see :shark:

Whatever the weather, you're wrong (in my opinion) regarding Wilder.

I am struggling to comprehend why you have such a beef with him when, since the Gillingham game, United have played pretty decent football save for one or two setbacks. Sure, since Coutts has been gone we've struggled to affirm the great start but that is down to quality on the pitch and our ability to not reinforce and build, not because Wilder has done anything intrinsically wrong in the way Clough and Adkins used to on a regular basis. There's no puzzling team selections, daft substitutions (and I am aligning this with the Clough-era in particular) and piss-weak, toothless performances. Okay, we got beat on Saturday, but even the most naive, doom-mongery and pessimistic amongst us will conceded that it's early in the season and Wilder has to settle the team yet with new signings and find a battle rhythm. Quite why you are referencing Oxford United is anyone's guess, unless you have an unhealthy obsession with him and summat he's done in the past to upset you. How did you feel, for example, when he got us promoted with such ease when we'd struggled for many years?

Finally, who would you say was his best, affordable and above all else - capable - replacement if he was sacked? Go on, I'll sit nicely and wait for your suggestions.

Post #51 should tell you exactly what I hope will happen this season .

6 months of inconsistency ? You mean relegation form ??

Who do I think could do a better job with the same money ? This season ?? Virtually any one of the managers with more championship experience than CW who isn't afraid to make changes when the players/formation used simply don't work . Take your pick, there's plenty of them out there .

While I appreciate your opinions as that's what makes this a great forum (unlike North Korea Talk), can you name any manager who could do a better job than CW? After all, there's 'plenty of them out there'. A lot of people thought that when we went through the dark days of Weir, Clough, Adkins, Blackwell, Adams, Robson, Wilson etc. I remember having a similar conversation with somebody re. Warnock when we had our brief (and ultimately fiddled) flirtation in the PL in 2006-07. I asked him to name a manager who could do better. His answer? Aidy Boothroyd.

The fact is, nearly all football managers are useless but - if they stay in the game long enough - they'll have a purple patch (AKA The Law of Averages) which people will look back on with rose-tinted glasses and ignore their many other failures. Gareth Southgate is a prime example. Tony Pulis. Mick McCarthy. Tony Mowbray etc. etc. Managers with 'more Championship experience'.

I was disappointed (but not surprised) by the Swansea game, but it's definitely not the time to throw the baby out with the bathwater and keep repeating the mistakes that saw us waste 6 years in the pub league.

Bit over the top. As per usual where football supporters are concerned, the truth lies somewhere half way between outright despair and blind faith.

Even IF this isn’t just Wumming and he really believes it personally, he knows perfectly well that a majority do NOT want wilder out.

So the title is deliberate bullshit at best and therefore WUM click bait.

Nice try mate. :D

Edit. It’s seemingly worked. :eek::)
It worked for a season and a bit, and now it's not, does he do anything about it? No. Poor manager. Will have a great career getting teams out of League one and Two, and at a push saving teams from Championship relegation. The man is now out of his depth, and the cop faithful need to recognise that.

100% Blade my arse, was happy to leave us to "further his career". 100% Blades don't leave until pushed such as Montgomery and Alan Woodward.

I don’t agree with the opening post!!. This guy calls himself a blade but wants wilder out after a top 10 finish in his 1st season back in the championship and after a disappointing performance yesterday. FFS. Talk about over reaction. Let’s give wilder a chance to sort things please!!. Blades for life. UTB
I don’t agree with CHL, but he as been consistent with his views. He didn’t want CW in the first place. We have been on a slight downward curve from the second half of last season, so it’s not knee jerk from yesterday.
Regardless of who’s to blame, managers don’t stay around at clubs too long, but in CW we need to hang in their with him. It’ll be reight.

Looks like you went missing and maybe deleted your account when United were flying, must have been really burning you that Wilder was doing so well.

I don't know how you've got this info Harry but I've not been on there since the new platform was rolled out . It's not that I didn't want to post on there it's that I'm simply unable to login to post .

You said you wasn't on bladesmad when Wilder was appointed, I proved that to be a lie, you have not been on with that login since April 2017 granted. You had a couple of months out but apart from that you had always been a prolific poster on there and you was not only on at the time of him getting the job but totally against it and would bad mouth him at every opportunity for some strange reason.

Maybe you should just tell the truth. Its personal, you don't like the man for your own reasons and it has nothing to do with football.

I think you’ve taken my post the wrong way IB? :)

Which village has lost its idiot ?

How could it possibly be personal when I've never met him ? I didn't want Wilder in when he was appointed and made my views on why I didn't abundantly clear . I also have serious doubts about him long term aswell but overall he's done very well up to now and certainly miles better than I thought he would . I've also made this abundantly clear . To say I have a personal axe to grind about him because I had/have doubts makes no sense at all as if me having doubts is anything to go by there's a lot of posters on here who clearly have a personal issue with him too as they've also voiced doubts .

As for Bladesmad I'll take your word for it that I posted on there at the time he was appointed, all I know is is that I've been unable to post on there for a long time, quite how long ago that is I clearly haven't a clue . I thought it was at least a couple of years ago and it coincided with everyone needing to re-register as I had a couple of attempts to do so before deciding not to bother as the whole process was a pain in the arse .
