The money quoted is good and could improve us overall but as we are seeing with the Brooks money, it's not as easy saying "sell him for this, buy him for that"

Just look what we've done so far regarding Brooks replacements - we've signed McGoldrick on a free and are loaning Woodburn. These are players we could've signed without selling Brooks.

We can spend it, and we can get stronger. It's just far from straightforward and no matter how good a fee might look, some need to be careful what they wish for.

We apparently had a competitive budget before selling Brooks so I'd imagine we could've signed more than those 2 without selling him.
