Yes but we haven’t accepted the first offer and as you have already pointed out, Wilder will have told them in no uncertain terms to fuck off and come back when you put some proper money on the table, even then it might not be enough?
No no, I get that, I'm not having a dig at united in fact. It's quite the opposite. I'm happy united have told them to fuck, just for the record. I'm proud wilders told them to do one. And im also happy O'Connell hasnt requested a move, and knows what side his breads buttered.

I was simply saying we have had a history of accepting minimal fees for players. Back in the day.

Obdurate? That’s hilarious.

Ok, I’ll change my opinion. We sell every player as soon as an offer comes in. Wilder was lying when he said we’d turned an offer down, this has in fact never happened. Does that make you feel better?

Tsk, losing it a bit now aren't you. Wilder was telling the truth in saying United had turned down their first offer, no need to doubt that. It's what happens next that matters.

He said that the club’s opinion of a ‘sizeable’ offer is behind the times and that an extra £1m (£6.5m) would see him sold. If that was the case we wouldn’t have just flatly refused their offer, we would have negotiated.

Personally, as good as JOC is, I’d be extremely surprised if he ever played International football.

A lot of our fans talk about JOC being worth £15m+ whilst some also didn’t want us to spend £4m on Egan. Like every set of fans in the country we value our players a lot higher than fans of other clubs would.
If you see my other posts on the subject you’ll see I partially agree.

Just for clarification, I think Brooks should’ve brought a bit more money in but that’s been done to death, I think JOC is better so that’s all you need to know there. Egan is worth every penny of the £4M fee, a great acquisition and you won’t have seen me contradict any of these opinions on here anywhere.

Losing it is a lot better than never actually having it though.

So we do turn down offers? That’s a change of tune at least.

If they’re hoping to get him then they’re taking their time. We turned down their offer about 2 weeks ago.

Not really something to make public. Let's hope whoever bid goes away.

In situations like this it's the player who decides once an offer is big enough Wilder will not keep a player who wants to go.
Hopefully O'Connell is in no rush to play in the premiership and will try to get there with us. Premiership wages are a big draw.

JOC and Fleck I feel confident will not leave in this window.

There may be a risk in January if we are not in promotion contention and their form is good.

However if we haven’t pulled off an unlikely promotion by the end of the coming season I am certain both will leave for a shot at Premier League football next summer if the chance comes along.

We need to be planning how to replace O'Connell and Fleck now because this time next year they probably won't be here.

Shame John McGinn will probably be at Celtic by then.

I endorse this. But even as someone who has watched him regularly doubt he's good enough to replace them both.

We shouldn't even consider selling him but if we do, Liam Lindsay is the obvious replacement.

Can't see Jack wanting to leave. He still lives in Liverpool with his girlfriend who has recently signed for Manchester United ladies. We will offer him a new deal and he will sign it. UTB

I'd take 15m + Thomas Hemed

Thats the ball park figure we should be in if Reading are quoting £15m for Moore. Brighton have only come back because Reading are playing hard ball over Moore. I expect us to do the same.

Agreed been saying this for a while. He should already be on our radar should a club come in with a £15 million bid for JOC.

5.5m is rather disrespectful tbh.

Its not disrespectful its derisory. Pity CW didn't make that statement when he referred to the Bid. Local rag in Brighton now picked up on second offer and saying JOC deal more viable than Moore. In other words they think we are an easier touch then Reading. Time to tell BHA to fck off and come back at £15m.
