His other half signing for Man Utd and being made captain would suggest a move that far south is unlikely.

I’m not claiming he’s great and that he posted it first. I’m just saying that he’s also tweeted it. Christ alive. After reading it in the Sun....by God Nixon is good...
Hope she's not a Man U fan, or they could end up living in China or India!!!His other half signing for Man Utd and being made captain would suggest a move that far south is unlikely.
She’s a scouser so probably notHope she's not a Man U fan, or they could end up living in China or India!!!
This mornings rag saying CW to offer improved contract to JOC to stave off interest from Burnley, Brighton and Huddersfield
If he's offered a new one to JOC then he'll have to do the same for Fleck. Sharp, Basham, Coutts and Moore also need sorting out with new contracts. Hope we've enough money left in the pot.
They'll only need to move as far as Hungary then. She’s a scouser so probably not
Didn't CW talk for a short while about upgrading as a group rather than have 'superstar' and 'ordinary' wages alongside each other in the same team on tv other nightIf he's offered a new one to JOC then he'll have to do the same for Fleck. I think what he means is progression as contracts are RE- newed they move up the scale ,it would be a massive task to upgrade them all and of course some will fall .by the wayside if they are not good enoughDidn't CW talk for a short while about upgrading as a group rather than have 'superstar' and 'ordinary' wages alongside each other in the same team on tv other night
(But was originally in context of new recruits)
Basham . Coutts and Moore and sharp don’t have to be offered anymore. Sharp is already on a good number, the other three are replaceable. Only if coutts comes back the same player as before injury, does he need to be offered more money

We're at a strange point in the club's progression. In a recent interview Wilder agreed that there's a need to review the pay structure. His point seems to hang on parity, in other words that he doesn't want huge differences between player A and player B as in Wilder's view this is bound to cause disruption amongst the players.
Not sure if I agree with this as other clubs seem to exist with certain players getting paid far more than other players. I'd go so far as to suggest that if there's parity (an idea that in principle speaks to the idealist in me) it has the potential to sow discontent amongst our better players.
After all, why would a goalscorer (gold dust I think we'd all agree) regard his salary as being on a similar scale to a fullback or a player who often comes off the bench. Do bear with me as I'm attempting to work my way through what is clearly a complex issue. If Wilder can pull this off, and still continue to take the Blades forward, then he'll have worked wonders. But on our current trajectory we're looking to bring in players capable of taking us forward, and they're going to cost - a lot! I have a feeling that evolution will be gradual but not too slow. Without admitting to exactly how much we've paid for Egan it's clear that it's a club record. Brilliant bit of business by Wilder, and hopefully there's more to come, this season or next.
This will be CW's biggest challenge this season. It would have been even with a competent united Board behind him but its made 10 times worse by the
Yes , I get what you are saying. They're in the last year of their contracts. If we let them run down then there is no resale value and they can talk to other Clubs in January. This was supposed to be something we were trying to avoid.
No way can we compete with premiership clubs on wagesCourt shenanigans going on. Presumably Bettis has been brought back to help deal with renewing contracts and improving them. Its not just about wages but also about contract length and agents will be driving this process not the Club.
At the same time we are trying to bring in new players to fit within a structure that is unlikely to significantly change until the ownership dispute is resolved. Once we start improving contracts mid contract to try and keep players at the Club then other player agents will be all over it wanting parity for their players.
Add to this questions about the funding of the Club for this season and you do wonder how its going to pan out. If we finish the season with Fleck and OConnell still on Board then that will be a significant achievement. Here's hoping. Good luck CW.

You mean Maguire and walker surelyHardly an left sided English centre backs knocking about. Wouldn't surprise if he's playing in a England back 3 with Maguire and Stones in a couple of years time. Give him a new contract to at least get another 12 months out of him and see where we are then.
I think Brighton will end up getting Moore since this has happened. Which will hopefully cool any possible interest they had in Jack.

Wilder just let slip on the manager’s special football heaven that we’ve turned down £5.5m for him
