Critically, another captain. Good lad, good age, good signing. Let the moaners moan!

Nixon never gave any indication to position.Nixon's now saying he is the one he was referring to earlier in the week, for the near club record fee.
I thought he indicated it was a striker, and I certainly don't see what's 'interesting' about it. He's said himself he's a long term target. It's predictable.
If it's anything over £3m I'll be surprised. That would seem excessive.
But if we're willing to spend that on a CB, fingers crossed that means the overall budget is decent.

Always liked Egan even from the few times I saw him play for Southend. Think he'll do a good job although I'm not sure whether he'll play central or right-sided.
However, only 26 comments over 2 pages simply isn't good enough for a target - how can he compete with Burn, Leonard and the reigning king Morsy?
I agree, but Bash offers that overlapping that we seen keen on.Not necessarily. I’m not a Bash Basher, but he is a player we can improve on. JO’C, Stearman and Egan as the back 3, Bash as backup and Leonard preferred as a CM.
Surely not true because ........ Wages.
Hmmm, I know Wilder was bemoaning our defending at times last season, but if this is the one that's near 4m I'm shocked.
JO'C, Stearman, Basham, Wright, Leonard..... Yes we need improvements, but unless he's planning on shoving Bash back into midfield, I don't see how it fits (and he's not the attacking type).
Does it mean someone out?
He was shit when he played for us at WalsallCritically, another captain. Good lad, good age, good signing. Let the moaners moan!![]()
He was shit when he played for us at Walsall
Actually he wasn't but Matt Hillmade his debut that night too.
Surely not true because ........ Wages.
Had 1 loan game with us in 2012.
Seen that, “away to Walsall, dogmeat.”Just seen a comment on Facebook of “wasn’t keen on him when we last had him” - 1 game ffs.
A lot saying Bash is going to be the one to dip out, and it may well be the case. However I'd say he was arguably our best player in the 2nd half of the season. Yes he has his faults but he's been immense at times.
ompetition for places is never a bad thing though, and if Egan is an upgrade then all the better for the team...
