18 in 41 in league one. Scored 10 in 43 last season.
And a similar number in his only other previous championship campaign a few years back. Doesn't get the pulse racing but in fairness he is more than just a goalscorer and will rough up a few defences for faster, less physical attacking players like David Broo.....shit.

If we sign a couple of 30 year olds up front and maybe loan an attacking midfielder after selling Brooks that will be absolutely scandalous.
This obsession has gone way past the point of being boring now and is actually quite disturbing viewing. Is everything alright at home herb?

Notice the word 'if' in my post there, precious.
Another sentence without 'wages' in it. You are coming on leaps and bounds.

I'm not one for arguing on here, but your recent posts have been, to me, a bit pathetic. Hope the club sign some players who are under 30 and on decent wages and meet your standards (ie you personally recommended them within the last 6 months) to lighten the mood for you soon.

I'll give you a free hit back, won't respond, don't like it when other threads turn into poster-on-poster slug fests.

Lee Gregory is not at shirecliffe and he’s not going anywhere from millwall. In fact he’s about 200 mile away from shirecliffe. He missed Portugal with millwall because his mrs is due to give birth any second.

Unfortunately, negativity is never baseless when it comes to United.
Maybe. But you’re jumping the gun. Nothing negative has even happened yet, barely anybody has signed anyone and there’s weeks to go - The manager has said repeatedly that patience is needed in this window. But if your posts were anything to go by the entire club is dangling off a cliff by its bollocks and wasting away.

He's not wrong though, and he did say if

Why say it at all if it’s completely hypothetical? Which speculative proposition is he ‘not wrong’ about? How far does conjecture go before it becomes meaningless? What was of sufficient importance to merit your intervention?

Not just Ricky in fairness. The self-entitlement of those suffering from Jim White Syndrome always surfaces at this time of year and in January. It’s the Bladesfans’ Way.

Can I just ask, what's wrong with being a 30 year old footballer? Last I checked it wasn't 1973 and footballers no longer survive on a diet of brown booze, meat pies and Players No6.

As long as we don't sign them on 5 year contracts like Wendy it'll probably be reyt.

So having dismissed McGoldrick (too old, too injury prone, Ipswich reject), Gregory (too old, not good enough, doesn't score enough), Hogan (not worth the £, injury prone, 1 season wonder), Gallagher (not good enough, how much??, doesn't score enough) and the LIverpool loanees (don't want to pay penalty payments if they don't play) in recent days, I'm wondering just who some on here expect and want Utd to sign.

Possibly apart from Mbappe and Griezmann, it would seem the online managers would prefer Utd to go for a L2 striker who has never played above that level for £1.5m+ and any of the P'boro (L1) strikers no matter how much they cost.

Twitter is even worse so I think I'll just switch off for the remainder of the day.

You missed the Calvert-Lewin threads in your summary :)

You missed Sam winnall - a broken pig.

To be fair there is a dirth of young promising forwards anywhere. It’s why goal scorers are at such a premium and people are willing to pay 40k per week on the basis of 1 decent season. Probably because Prem sides are full of skill full attaxkonf midfielders not strikers.

I wouldn’t have minded the young lad Brentford bought from Plymouth. Don’t think they would see unless we offered a substantial fee however.... I’m not comfotable with Marriott for the asking prices.

One of best strikers I’ve seen at this level is hooper but we all know that ain’t happening. Assombalonga - would be an ideal fit for us imo, but again even if he’s not first choice I doubt we’d be able to get that one over the line

I know someone involved at Clyde and Goodwillie is available for our sort of money (peanuts).

Now Ched's off on loan we've got room.

Seriously,?

Please tell me I'm missing the joke...
