Can't see us getting him since he cost £3m and then scored 14 goals last season (11 in the league) from midfield. But who knows.

I don't think he's good enough to start for us. We should be aiming for better.

I certainly wouldn't want us spending big on him. They paid around £3m for him and he has 2 years left on his contract, so he wouldn't be cheap.

Agree with all your points regarding his ability Ricky - I watched him regularly for Oxford and whilst he caught the eye at L1 level, I always felt he may struggle in the Champ. I too would be very hesitant paying the amount being banded about for him although he does possess some of the traits I feel Utd current lack up front i.e. quick, mobile, creative (as well as weighing-in with goals) so would improve the squad overall

He went for well over 2million and we were on league 1. I don’t think so.

FWIW - I though he was decent - but that was based on him tearing West Brom a new one in the cup. Pacy and direct which we don’t really have

Yep, South Oxfordshire - hence why I sometimes go to watch OUFC (or local non-league sides) to get my football fix when Utd aren't playing anywhere near. Their supporters are actually excited about having Robinson in charge this season and are fairly confident they'll go up :-)
 
Up there with Omar Bogle and Davante Cole in my list of "they are so 2016"

My lad plays for their academy so I'm down the training centre a lot. Go to a few games but don't like the 3 sided ground.
 
Not sure about this one. Lad scored 14 goals last season for a club which is badly mismanaged from owner to whatever manager they have next.

Not sure I would be in to buy him, maybe a loan with a clause to buy. Maybe he just needs to the individual bit taking out of him like wilder did with coutts Clarke etc

Ah right - I hear their academy has had a bit of a shake-up recently - hope your lad is getting on ok.

Agree about their ground although you do get a good view from the upper tier of their main stand.

Give me a shout when you're next down for a game :-)

We could have bought him before he went for 2m, when we were league 1 n he was league 2! Like we did with most of the current squad.

Stayed in Faringdon on Saturday and watched England,nice part of the country

But yet we will start with Leon clarke Who we signed from Bury for 250k. If CW gets a hold of these players imagine how good they are going to become.

I think all three of them are good enough...I’m becoming less and less certain that we can afford any of them. Let alone two or three of them.

That’s like saying brooks wasn’t worth 12m until someone payed it.

We wouldn’t suddenly sell for £2million when he’s got a market value driven by his performances in the first team.

We might have got him for less but not after he’d performed well enough to attract higher division attention. That took his value to a level we couldn’t afford to compete with.

Similarly, we can dismiss any Gallagher talk while he is in China and scoring for Southampton.
