The problem with United is our academy can't make players for our level. They're either too good and we can't keep them or too shit and we give them to Chesterfield.

We need more bang average academy prospects haha

Not that baffling when Wilder said that he'd never keep a player that doesn't want to be here.

Why are you assuming that? There's no evidence to support that but there's plenty of evidence to support United cashing in on their better players when the first opportunity arises.

Keen to see what follows. Can’t see Wilder going through the whole poker game at the end of the season over an increased budget only to have an asset sold from under him.. I’m sure there is an agreement in place for him to get a cut too..

Writing was on the wall when he switched agents recently I mean if you plan on sitting tight and cracking on then why do you need a new agent..

Wish him all the best and hope he never forgets what we did for him. Having said that predict he will be in the Champions ship season after. I think they’re good for relegation his season..

Bournemouth...

FUCKING BOURNEMOUTH

What's Bournemouth got to offer? I hear you ask. Well, take it away Google...

"Bournemouth is a seaside resort on the southern coast of England. It's known for having 7 miles of beaches, Victorian architecture and buzzing nightlife in areas such as the Triangle. The resort is also home to Bournemouth Pier, an activity centre with an obstacle course, a climbing wall and a zip line. The 2-mile long Bournemouth Gardens offer rock gardens, an aviary and plant species from 3 continents.",

Ooooh, a zip line and an aviary. Roger me fucking senseless will you, I'm that excited. Jesus shitting Christ.

Fucking Bournemouth.

Stop knocking Bournemouth. Their club has exceeded expectations, have a good manager and play attractive football.

As for the town it is pleasant place, has a good climate and a famous person was born there - me! It is also full of dozy geriatrics and dodgy elderly drivers, which is why One Foot in the Grave was based on it!

As for Brooks going there, well that's down to him. Would say it is a bit Jordan Slewish imo and I think the move is a season early. Bournemouth could easily get relegated as their stay in the Prem has always been a bit precarious so in a season's time he could find himself back in the Chumpionship (sic).

As for United letting him go, well I am pretty disgusted. As a regular listener to 5 live, time after time all former players say "if you sell your best players you don't progress". Brooks was one of our better plays. Says it all really. If Wilder has sanctioned it, he's dropped a bollock. Woods was no TC but he certainly had that touch of class that at times was really exciting.

Stand by for a major pig gloat fest. :(

We’re cap-doffing fucking Bournemouth now. Are there no depths to which some of you will not sink?View attachment 40900

Fucking Bournemouth.

All this massive bollocks aside (If only we were as massive as Preston) They're a team who play attractive passing attacking football which will suit him more than the style here.

If a premier league club offers a big sum and 5x one of the lads wages, how can we say no? Really? I think id be pretty pissed if it got turned down if i was the player

GLTTL

So why sign a new contract, presumably on higher wages, only last season if you dearly want to play elsewhere?

I think there are a few cases where "we couldn't stand in his way" could apply, but not sure a move to Bournemouth is one of them. Although Wilder does keep citing Bournemouth as a club we should be emulating. Surprised they pass the "proper football club" test.

This kind of talk makes us sound like the S6 lot.

Bournemouth are a Premier League club and we're not. In footballing terms, Bournemouth is a step up from Sheffield United at this point in time. That's how it is and will be until we join/replace them.

Sorry. I’ve been following football a bit longer than you. Bournemouth are ultimately a nothing club historically. You can’t sinply settle on a snapshot in time. For anyone but S2 cap-doffers, United are infinitely bigger than Bournemouth. You wallow in parochial Inferiority if you wish. I take pride in my club and it’s a far far greater club then fucking Bournemouth.

As for the ‘S6 lot’ bollocks. More Bladey Inferiority. I express myself as I wish. I don’t avoid any words and phrases in deference to whether it sounds like the Pigs. I am not conditioned by anything they think say or do. It’s a complete irrelevance. I’ve made that clear many times in this forum and still this drivel persists.

We’re massive.

Put up or shut up with your constant anti-club drivel. It’s a tedious and malicious agenda.

I’ll bet you a thousand pounds we are not relegated next season. The money can be in a neutral account tomorrow. Or shut the fuck up and back the club you claim to support.

Seriously you question my allegiance, do you know me? I am sick of seeing the same shit, aren't you? Now get your Captain Blade PJ's on, get under your SUFC duvet and set your Greasy chip butty alarm clock. You might not care we have just sold our best youngster in years, a flair player that is going to get better and better and one can make a huge difference to our season, I do so fuck off with the condecending bigger Blade attitude.

And for the record I never said we would go down, so take off your Blades tinted bins and put your usual jam jar lenses on.

Think it's a bit of both but one led to the other most likely.

Signing wirh the same agent as Harry Kane doesn't say to me "I'd like to gradually progress at this club for £10K a week" and probably didn't to United who then got cartoon dollar signs in their eyes and thought "hang on lads, we can get some money 'ere".

Wilder seems like the type to be fucked off about the agent business too, I can imagine a "I'm not angry I'm just disappointed" thing going on behind the scenes but in reality he'd just be really fucking angry.

I’m trying to help you here young man. You’re a novice with a lot to learn. Do try to listen rather than jerking your knees. I’ve forgotten more about football than you’ll ever know. Now leave it. You’re out of your depth.

Err, because you get paid more?

They can pay 5-10 times what we can in wages for a player who’s only shown potential so far.
They can afford the gamble, like they did with Ake and Ibe. We can’t, hence why the deal is happening.

Fucking Bournemouth.
You forgot to mention the overpowering smell of stale piss due to the 30,000 retired coffin dodgers who shuffle about there.

GLTTL at Blowjobsmouth or Dorchester or whichever southern conference side it is. A decent price and I'm sure we'll use all the proceeds on freshening up our forward line plus an attacking midfielder just as we always do when we sell some young prospect...

If there’s one thing we can all agree on it’s that money talks. Whether it turns the head of a young player or is an offer too good to turn down some people really need to get a grip. He isn’t our star player. He is our most valued asset and won’t be missed like Fleck or O’Connell would be or Coutts was last year. The departures of Currie/ Deane etc hit us much much harder. Wilder must think it’s a good deal for the Blades and I’m happy with that. Remember he said if anyone was sold over his head he would walk so I doubt this is the case. The better players join the richer clubs. (Bale left Spurs? Courtinho left Liverpool? Neymar left Barca?) Always have. Always will. We have no idea how much Wilder might get and he won’t make it public but I trust him so use it to make us an all round better team like Kendall did when he sold our then prized asset Nathan Blake
