Looks like his new agents turned his head, if he wants to play in front of 9 thousand fans that's up to him.
We will survive with or without him.

12m plus 3 to 5 in add ons is a good deal on what Brooks has delivered so far , a lot of promise but not enough to warrant 15m outright

3 league goals in 30 matches is not 20,m pounds worth of player , simples

A few facts. David Brooks is secure on a long term contract by Sheffield United. Our manager has said he is very happy with his increased budget, and that he is under no pressure to sell our better players. Also, that if his transfer policy is interfered with by the board he will walk.If David Brooks is sold it will be Chris Wilder's doing; unless he walks.
Taking all that into account, I'd ask Wilder these questions:

Is this the right time to sell to maximise the potential transfer fee?

If so, how far do you think Brooks can go in the game?

With non parachute payment club's paying over 10 million for players, what makes you think you can improve the quality of the squad when you are selling your best players for roughly that amount?

No place on this forum for calm, common sense :-)

Didnt Wilder say the shutter were down on our best players? Clearly this isnt the case!

Question now is will Wilder have the hump on due to have the rug pulled from under his feet?

you do know that 'Sky Sources' are internet forums don't you ? They have a team searching forums every day especially for the clubs in the top two leagues.

Well seeing as the news broke in the Daily Star not on this forum, I suspect they got it from there

Hugely open, hypothetical questions don't really deserve concrete answers.

I'd want to strengthen and keep him. If it wasn't possible to strengthen adequately without selling him then I'd consider it - but no fucking way would I accept the first poor offer before we even reach July.

By waiting a bit longer. There's enough interest. Other clubs would start an auction. Why can't we?

Well we are dealing with paper talk. It's been mentioned before. The cynic in me believes there isn't any other interest out there as things stand. I don't think its a good move for him but big money and PL football has to be a big draw for him. He's not a fan, he's no loyalty, he may actually be pushing the envelope himself. But some won't consider that in the zeal to attack the club.

At the end of the day, if he goes for £12m, that's his value. When someone actually pays £20m then that can be assessed as his worth.

From twirlo on BM:

brookes wants to go,new agent turned his head and got him a life changing deal

This is the same agent as Che Adams of course! One thing I've always really liked about Brooks is that he is so level headed and football was always the most important thing to him it seems. Not saying that's changed but I don't personally think a move at this stage of his career to the Pl is a good move. Maybe he'll come back on loan or join another Championship team, hopefully the former not latter.

Really wish that dirty parasitic little piece of shit Rankine would do us all a favour and drop dead.

But mind you, another one would only replace him. These cunts are breeding at record rates, it seems.

He's already left Rank I believe although I may be wrong.

But I have suggested Brooks may want to go.

David Brooks is our most naturally talented player

Don't think I'm being a contrarian Eric, but our most naturally talented? I agree with many that Brooks has great potential, but as for being able to dictate the tempo of a game, or being able to have that intuitive understanding that comes with experience? Those qualities are possessed by Coutts amongst our current crop of talented players, and as yet young Brooks, as exciting as he can be, still manages to display poor decision making, something that I'm sure he'll improve upon.

The new agent is key to this suggested move, so let's see what benefits come with whichever move Brooks chooses to take.

That’s where my grudge lies, with the agent, not united or wilder.

Ranking has no interest in the players development or wellbeing, disgusting.

Is Mark Rankine the agent?! Was he also DCL's agent? I know Brooks agent is also Che's agent.

The fact that many think 12 million is a good deal sums up the small time attitude of this club and its fanbase to be honest.

3 million for Walker was also a good deal to these people.
Small time attitude ? How big are we then ? And what is your valuation ?

Football is clearly NEVER the most important thing.

When the other little boys have shinier cars than you you've got to do something about it ASAP.

Looks like we've accepted the first bid we received.

Fuming.
I bet we haven’t though. Do you really think businessmen like McCabe and the Prince, taking advice from Wilder, will just accept the first offer? Do you think that’s how McCabe got rich? Do you think they live in a bubble?
