Just for once I would love to see us hold onto young talent and see how far they can go. Hope this isn't true but history tells me sadly it is.
No we don’t do that. Not with even the most talented, promising players that come through the academy for a decade. Just incase they don’t make it. Simply not worth the risk. We’re better off selling and signing loan players. Just incase. Trust me.

FFS, this is a football fees expert wet pants/sandy vagina thread, stop being sensible.
Implication being that anyone who wants to keep him is being irrational and reactionary, rather than simply wanting to build a team around our best and most promising players?
Perfectly sensible to want to do that.

Could be worse, it wasn’t long ago that him and Hirst were the stand out English players in Toulon. We get £12m, pigs get nowt but it’s our board that doesn’t know what they’re doing.

It's more that £10mil is reported and if so, that is nothing in the current market. If my memory serves me correctly Oxlade Chamberlain went to Arsenal for around that figure, all those years ago.

The point being, he's our youngster under contract here, we've developed him and he has bags of potential. He's already getting international recognition and he is the only player of his ilk in our squad. He is a real talent and any club should have to pay a fee which reflects all of that. On top of this, we may not need to sell so should call all the shots with a price that works for us.

I'd be very sad to see him go and we won't replace a player of his potential and quality with the £10m that's reported. Simple as.

It would have just been quicker for you to admit you don’t have an answer, it’s not like it’s the first time you’ve made yourself look silly.

For what it’s worth I wouldn’t agree to sell Brooks for £12m but then I’m not the manager
An answer for what you being a boring persistent,i'm not interested in the slightest what you think sunshine so go and bore some other member will you, take me off you xmas card list too ffs.

Yep. Just need to harvest that money tree to build around him and we are set to go

Can only see it from StarSport and The Star (probably sourced from StarSport given timings) any other sources?

Where are the £20m bids? Or even a bid topping the one on the table?

The limitations or not if this is true on Wilders budget are unknown, as are his thoughts on this. However claiming DB us worth £15-£20m when no professional football clubs appear agree is delusion of piggery levels. So if we take out those and posts by anti McCabeists/ Prince haters, the overall picture is slightly different from the rabid content that first appears to be the consensus.

You’ve said that Wilder will walk if this is true, I’ve asked why and you’re yet to provide an explanation. Don’t worry about it though, carry on with the unsubstantiated nonsense.

Kinell, it was the same with Maguire and Walker. We could have made a mint if we sold them now.
Truth is, they had a better chance of progressing their career elsewhere AT THAT TIME and the club did the best they could to maximise the return available at that time.
The same thing is happening now. I just hope that if he flops, the 'McCabe Bashers' will be back on here eating humble pie, but won't be holding my breath.

In the end if he has decided he wants to go we are stuffed - get the best deal we can and move on. We never really seem to be able to play hardball though to push the price up - very frustrating when viewed from the outside.

Can’t come to terms with Bournemouth being a bigger club than us. FFS!

This is why we need to get back to the Prem. otherwise we will continue to be preyed upon for our best players and management. There’s no guarantee it wouldn’t happen in the Prem of course, but at least we’d have more financial clout to resist.

Would Brooks be interested in a club like Bournemouth if we were in the Prem and them in the Championship? It’s all about playing in the Prem. Thats why we must move heaven and earth to get there.

Once again we look like we are going to sell our best young players in order to fund the running of the club! Very frustrating!

MONEY - PL Football

FFS it's not rocket science.
