I was told that Che Adams tried to change his agent when we were going to sell him to Birmingham. This caused some delay and then he eventually agreed to use the same agent during the transfer. I assume he changed his agent after the transfer.

Can’t see the Grealish comparison. He’s got Top 4 clubs sniffing around him and is a top player at this level, tried and tested. Brooks has bags of quality but unproven, plus can’t see one of the really big clubs looking at him.

For me Brooks is currently in the “tier below” the likes of Sessignon and Grealish, who have consistently looked different gravy for a whole season. I also think this is why he would fare better staying at SUFC for a couple more seasons, look at Maguire now for example.

Why do we think £10m would get us anywhere? I'm on record saying I want to keep him a while because he's potentially (early days I know) the best attacking player we've produced in the last 30 years.

If it's all the same I'd prefer to spend my money watching that then journeyman CFs we could buy like Grabban etc

We haven't seen his best yet. But let's at least wait until he shows the pre glandular fever performance levels before deciding what he's worth. Now is the wrong time to value and sell him.

He'll probably come back from pre season 5-10% stronger and more powerful. It's an exciting prospect for us. I expect his value to rocket before January.

Despite their problems the one player they don't really want to sell for fear of a backlash is Grealish so they have come up with a silly figure to maximise his value. There is no way Grealish will be sold for £10 million when the likes of Maddison are currently valued at £20 million.
