No Rog. He's not. He's not a "centre-forward" that's why.
He's an excellent footballer and one with lots of promise.
He's a player who, I think, is best played as an attacking midfielder.
But no way on God's earth is he a "centre-forward". Not in a million years mate!
A "centre-forward" is a big guy with a lot of physical strength and aerial ability. Ooh! I could real off dozens of them, but I won't waste your or anyone else's time doing so.
Brooks is what us old farts would refer to as an "inside forward". A player with great guile and ability who plays from behind the strikers. A centre-forward leads the line - totally different role.
Cerby my old China plate, modern football has moved on from when you old farts used to stand in each other's piss smoking woodbines and exchanging stories of rations...
Centre forwards aren't always big lumps, and I could real off dozens of them but won't waste your or anyone else's doing so by naming examples...
However, if you watch closely the modern day Number 9 has pace, movement and athleticism. Klopp, Guardiola et al are showing football is evolving and thankfully Tufty is part of that new generation rather than believing we need a big lad up top to lead the line.
Foreshadowing.
