Fleck overlooked again

It is when you consider that the Fulham pair of Kevin McDonald and Tom Cairney aren't in because of Fulham's play off games. I just hope that Fleck doesn't feel he has to move to get into the team. On the other hand at least he won't be shown on the international stage how good he is, or I think we would possibly receive bids this summer, as we might anyway of course.

It is Roy, and why exactly this is so is mystifying to anyone who has watched Fleck regularly.

The idea that he'll have a better chance elsewhere is knocked on the head by the reminder of our ex player, Murphy. Wasn't a move to a Premiership club intended to increase his chance of international recognition? Best thing Fleck can do is to continue with the same consistency and show exactly how good he is.

I think Fleck is still remembered in Scotland as a young hot headed troublemaker, he had a dust up with Ally McCoist at Rangers and I think that is informing views of him up there.

Ha ha ha ha Ha...Scotland... :)

Fleck is NOT good enough for Scotland.

Further proof that Barry Bannan is far superior.

I notice he's not in either. Crackers really. Guess his recent injury must be a factor.
Ah, the, games played bonus, ffp, strain he had, bet that was painful!

We're talking about a nation who has 1-horse title race and a Unicorn as it's National Animal !

They'd still beat England with Southgate in charge on passion for the shirt alone!

Guess they'll never know whether that was true or not! They need to shift Rhodes or they'll fail FFP alone!:D

Yeah, I can really see someone buying Rhodes and taking on the £40k pw on, for fuck all return!!! Hes probably cost them £4m per goal!!!

Amazingly Norwich are interested! You watch, he'll bang in 20 goals next season for them! That would be funny!

Murphy's in the squad

If they’re still not picking him they want to have a really close look at their selection process as a whole because he’s easily one of their best midfield players. In fact I struggle to think of one better.

They have absolutely no idea what their best team is if he’s not being recognised.

Made more ridiculous by the fact it's a friendly. Surely you test new options?

I highly doubt that the scouting for top Championship/lower Prem will be as poor as Scotlands.

I don't know that playing for Scotland counts as 'international recognition' anymore.

I'd agree. Once you wade through the murky double-speak that sports-people seem to employ, you wonder if what lies at the root of becoming an international is no more than the potential for securing further income streams.

Maybe I'm being harsh, but do lots of kids these days dream of running out in a Scotland shirt at Hampden? Do many English kids, for that matter, dream of playing for a 1-0 win in front of bunch of corporate tossers at Wembley? Who was the last great Scottish footballer a kid in Govan might want to emulate? I can see why you might want to get into the Spanish or German side, there's huge exposure, but Scotland?

As I say, maybe I'm being unfair on them.
